Yup...not a good outing for Eakin.....

I'll be the first to admit that Kevin will remember this game for awhile.....not a good outing at all....

He's much better than he showed this evening and I think we all know that....

perhaps this is a wake-up call to those in power to stop mis-managing our stable of quarterbacks as we have for years and years...

these guys need game reps......I mean, how many times last year were we being blown out .....and still........not one rep for the back-ups.....it's a silly way to manage our quarterbacking resources in my opinion....

As some have referred to tonight in other threads, even Danny Mac had many games like Eakin's tonight when he first broke in......but he got his reps!

No more "one QB" system please!...we have to be better prepared all around.

well, that's my un-educated opinion.... :stuck_out_tongue:

I can make plenty of excuses as to how many other facets of our game broke down and especially in the first quarter but I won't.

Oskee Wee Wee!......I still believe in our guys!

I agree, but with Lancaster as coach, how likely do you think that actually is? He has always been a one-quarterback guy. Heck, when he came from Edmonton, he brought his one-quarterback!

This was the worst quaterbacking display I have seen in my life and I have watched a lot of football over my 45 years. All you Eakin lover's better shut the frig up. Mass the rest of the way.

I agree Maas better start next week or we should just give them the 2 points and not bother to show up after this ugly game

Making excuses already? Wern't you the one after McMannus' head EVERY GAME HE PLAYED!!!!

Oh Sigpig…you’re so predictable…lol

Read my post again…I clearly said I won’t make excuses for Kevin…bad outing for him without a doubt…

nice cast though…just not biting here…

You know, if we could JUST point at the QB I think I would be happy.

Eakin most certainly did not have a good game. I'm sure can he can perform much better than he did tonight. And when I heard the post-game interview with him on CHML, I liked what I heard. He acknowledged that it certainly was not a good performance on his part, and that he needed to improve. Hopefully the podcast of that 5th quarter show will be posted soon so people can hear what he had to say, and can find out a reason I've said some good things about him.

Mikey your a being goofy, Eakin threw for 400 yards last season after only being with the team for 2 weeks, a lack of reps obviously has nothing to do with this performance.

No, what was wrong with his performance is he had a bad performance. People have bad games, it happens.

I hope all the "our back up QB is our best player" folks will now shut the hell up.

Then cut him!..cut everybody!..Boreham, Marshall, Yeast, Eakin…hell, everybody!..

but you’re still stuck with a team with no chemistry!..the problems with this team will never end with cuts!..it’s chemistry and leadership!

which is why a month ago I said if I was GM I wouldn’t fire anyone…I’d just tell them to work it out amongst themselves!..cutting people each week only results in people doing just enough to protect their paycheques and say “Whew!..Glad it wasn’t me!”…

Told ya’s it wasn’t the answer!

make them look inward!

but that’s just stupid ole’ me!

May I respectfully suggest; could it be he ran into Canada’s No 1 defence?

Marshall - Cut.

Yeast - Cut.

Boreham - On the chopping block (imho).

Mikey, be careful what you wish for.

mikey… are you ken peters?

I'll be the first to admit that Kevin will remember this game for awhile.....not a good outing at all....
First sensible thing you've said in a long time.
He's much better than he showed this evening and I think we all know that....
Based on what?
perhaps this is a wake-up call to those in power to stop mis-managing our stable of quarterbacks as we have for years and years...
There is so much humour in this statement i spilled my iced tea. The only mis-management was giving Eakin the start, even Maas at 50% can score 1 point.
these guys need game reps......I mean, how many times last year were we being blown out .....and still........not one rep for the back-ups.....it's a silly way to manage our quarterbacking resources in my opinion....
Well you're wrong again, as Richie Williams was given reps which is something Lancaster was accused of never doing.
As some have referred to tonight in other threads, even Danny Mac had many games like Eakin's tonight when he first broke in......but he got his reps!
Dont use Danny Mac as your crutch, you insulted him too many times to use him as a POSITIVE in your argument.
No more "one QB" system please!...we have to be better prepared all around.
Huh? Its obvious that only 1 QB on this team can get it done! Eakin was awful and it showed. Why the hell would I want him in as a 2 QB system? Get Maas back and healthy to have ANY CHANCE at making the playoffs.
I can make plenty of excuses as to how many other facets of our game broke down and especially in the first quarter but I won't.
The same "excuses" we were accused of making with Danny AND Jason? No running game, receivers not making plays, terrible OLine, no punting.... why do these apply to Kevin but nobody else?
Oskee Wee Wee!......I still believe in our guys!
No, you only believe in YOUR guys.

Still biting your fingernails and wringing your hands over every word I write… eh Crash?.. …you’re still a kid…at least give it a few years before you get bitter like the rest of us grown-ups…hahaha…enjoy being a kid while you can! :stuck_out_tongue:

Oskee Wee Wee!..We’ll get 'em next week!..we’ve got film on them now!

c'mon crash ease up... just a little.

he was just rusty, and the calls from paopo didnt help, we need a coach who will take charge! WE NEED A WHOLE NEW COACHING STAFF WE HAVE THE POLAYERS NOW THEY NEED TO BE LOOKIN AFTER BY TRUSTWORTHY PEOPLE

Maybe if he didnt put his neck on the line screaming for Eakin and questioning Maas’ leadership… i could.

But to blame the “mis-management” of the quarterbacking is childish.

Eakin would have never seen the field if Maas was healthy.
