XFL camps opening today. Any fans?

With Camps opening today and tomorrow. Just curious to know if anyone here plans to watch the XFL this spring.

San Antonio Brahmas) have hired Corey Chamblin, Josh Nieswander and Jaime Elizondo.
Vegas Vipers have hired Bob Wylie as Oline coach (as of today still don't have a stadium to play in) Will they practice in a hotel parking lot???
Arlington Renegades have hired Jonathan Himebough as Oline coach.

Sadly, Professor Marc Trestman isn't returning.

I think that all teams are practicing out of DFW Texas area - and then both teams will fly to the game - play the game and then head back to Texas.

I was very much looking forward to it, but I cant say I am interested in any football games at the moment

Looking forward to XFL 3.0. Went to both guardians games in NJ back in 2020 and planning a trip to DC for the home opener.

I might watch the highlights but not sure I would tune in live.

I beg to differ, or they would not be rebooting.

they would not be if not for covid

Things were going fine

I'd tend to agree with you, but some will fight that argument and really, nobody will ever really know what Vince would have done after season #1. What is known however, season 1 was never being finished when COVID came about. Even if they decided to hold a mini tournament with no fans, all XFL players became free agents as of May 5th 2020. With the increased NFL roster size starting the 2020 season, there would have been no one left to even play an XFL 2020 mini tournament.

Seeing as 4 of thier largest cities folded and are not participating in this reboot we have differing definitions of "fine"

As well in this new league heading back to Vegas seems suicidal for the Vipers (at least when CFL was in town it was pre-NFL)

I wish them well but I think the covid excuse is just that
An excuse for falling attendance (pre covid) and tv ratings that fell off a cliff (heading into a time when everyone stayed home and had nothing to do except watch tv...)

Exactly

3 teams moved, not 4. Losing NY is tough, but LA is a bad football market that's oversaturated,.and Orlando was Vince's original choice before the AAF claimed it. As they were getting no rights fees and most of their revenue came from attendance and game day revenue, it wouldn't have mattered if the XFL was the only show on television during COVID, they still wouldn't receive any $$.

I like the facilities they have chosen, there was a lot more work done on the business side this time around to keep fixed costs manageable. Also, the coaching staffs look more "affordable". TV contracts are in place and it looks like the USFL has developed some issues on the business side of things. I'm looking forward to see how the XFL does. Also, curious how the officiating will fare.

As with the USFL, I'll watch whatever XFL games are shown on my satellite package, unlike NFL which I have no desire to watch.

I'm the same way. Watching the NFL is like being force fed hot dog weiners with the packaging

No desire.

I can't watch the NFL just like I can't eat hot dogs....both make me retch, at least with a quality smokie you get some meat. Lol

There is reason cheap shitty hotdogs cost 79 cents a package of 12 and the good ones cost 10 bucks for an 8 pack... Same deal with your smokies😉

Hot dogs are rendered down beef parts unknown to man, turned into a slurry, then dyed and extruded into a plastic casing and heated in water to firm up. I don't eat luncheon meat either.
