WSF Lions @ Stamps - Get It Over With

Lions will be a force next year. Jennings looks like the future for them.

As a Lions fan , I am optimistic.

However , not this day.

As a Stamps fan all I am worried about is injuries.

My teams will battle until the score is :

Stamps 26 - Lions 15

Early forecast has this as being a snowy mess. Should be fun to watch.

BC wins 23-21. Battle of the two best RBs this year.

sorry, but 4.7 yard average does not a best RB make

Normally, I would be nervous about a team that dominates another team they are about to face in a semi.

As was the case this past weekend,

Although the Lions have improved , just not enough to beat the Stamps.

Stamps are to good in most areas.

Talk is J Simpson, could be ready for the game.

Stamps are lucky they picked up Messam  Vital to have a running game. Cornish is all but done.

As the game gets closer, I am a bit worried. This might be a close one.

My big concern is Stamps Josh Bell. He is the worst safety in the CFL. Always out of position, gets lost with the deep throw and teammates have bail him out.

Why a brilliant coach like Huf keeps hit around hurts my head.

Jennings could have a field day with this guy.

Also, I noticed on another site Index, many Esks fans are hoping for Calgary. ( TSN or CFL News reply forum )
The claim is they have had a hard time containing the scramble out of Jennings, while they have contained BLM in all 3 games.

One game shots ,especially in the West hardly ever go according to plan. Anything can happen, penalties, key turnovers or BC wins the toss and gets the wind in the 4th Q . Calgary should win but that means nothing .

new forecast is +10 mainly sunny, 25 km wind, and 1-3 cm of snow. Makes sense!

Every thing points to a Calgary romp and a date with Edmonton in the Battle of Alberta. Nothing can prevent a Calgary victory, this should be the easiest Western Semi for the Stamps since 1994! Book your tickets on the bus, it is a done deal.

Nothing, I repeat, nothing can prevent a Stampeder victory. Just like in 1994, it is a sure thing. :cowboy:

It use to be Fraser was the worst safety in the CFL, we seem to have issues finding a true safety who isn't always in the chase position or a day late and a dollar short.

Stop it, just stop.

I know what you are doing. The JINX thing.

Not working. Stamps will win, then I need you to be afraid. Very afraid.

Guess you don't remember 1984.

Not trying to jinx anybody. Just want to remind the Stamps, who I am cheering for, what can happen when you look past your Sunday opponent.

You mean like the 89 Eskimos? :cowboy:

84 , you mean 94.

I remember to well. I remember Vince Danielson caught what would have been the game winning TD.

It was called back because Allen Pitts was off side . He had a bad habit of that.
Then the FG was blocked.

Lions fed off that.

You are right . History has proven, disrespect your opponent and look fwd to the next game and you loose.

BTW, this is a Huf coached team. They look past no team.

If the Lions win, it will because they earned it. Not because the Stamps chocked or were over confident.

I checked and as near as I can tell, the Eskimo's aren't playing on Sunday.

Right 1994, got it right in the original post. Thanks for correcting. I wonder how many times the Fluties met and who won the head to head battle. I would not be surprised if Darren finished on top.

Are you saying the Eskimos didn’t look past the Riders in 89? The Riders really were the better team? Never thought I’ld hear that from an Eskies fan. :cowboy:

Nor at all. just saying the Eskimo's aren't playing in the WSF, I thought that was what this topic WSF Lions @ Stamps was about. Guess I misunderstood. :cowboy:

It ruins the joke when it must be explained, especially when someone deliberately screws up the quotes so they can't be followed.

dcmoses, nothing has been ruined.

Your replies are always good. Regardless if it is a joke, or making your point with logic.
