Wow- No Competing Websites May Be Hyped Here

Watch out Jake.

Well, "competition" is such an elastic term these days, as one with a clue would know. LOL

Oski Wee Wee,

I hope Macmahon got sucked into the blackhole along with his thread.

Nope.

I have MY sources. LMAO

Oski Wee Wee,

wheres the link?

How childish of you!

:?

Are you saying that if I say that in spite of my having some differences with some mods at 13thman.com, that 13thman.com is still the very best CFL related site there is, then my post will disappear??

I just cant beleive anyone connected with this pretty good site as well (for forums anyhow) would be so petty.

This is a private website. If you are expressing an opinion about a third-party website that you are not directly associated with, that is fair game.

The difference here is that someone -- let's call him "Bozo" for illustration -- can't just hype his OWN website on ticats.ca bandwidth.

I think that should be clear. I should know because I did far less than that re mine before and had a similar thread-burning happen to me on the old site. My sin was posting "As posted on my blog at..." one too many times.

My "hype" of my site wasn't porn-soundtrack-accompaniment ready in comparison to the individual in question here, but I digress.

Oski Wee Wee,

This is a private website
how do you mean, private site??

No dogs allowed.

This is the official website of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, owned and operated by Robert F. Young. That is what I mean by a private website.

Oski Wee Wee,

nope, this is CFL.ca and you guys just get here through ticat.ca doorway.

ticat.ca forums have now become a subsidiary of CFL.CA and are no longer private.

so there, :stuck_out_tongue:

The forums on this private website are open to the public upon becoming a member. We are subject to the rules set down by the admins of this site as part of the CFL Network..which is run under the auspices of the member clubs.

It really isn't a matter of semantics.

Oski Wee Wee,

If one would like to argue that the CFL is a public corporation, I'd like to hear the rationale.

So would Bob and the folks at MRX.ca, I would assume, for the sheer sport of it. LOL

Oski Wee Wee,

me too.

However, in my view, when you say private, you are talking Bob Young private citizen, or joe blow, private citizen, or Hells Angels, private club, etc. Not BC hydro, or Bell telephone, or NHL.com or CFL,ca.

CFL, not matter what you call it, depends on the public to survive. Any other CFL related site should be a good thing and for sure not a thing to be avoiding any postive mention of on CFL.CA

I ahve no idea if this actually happens, I am just sort playing Devils advocate.

CFL.ca is run by the CFL. I think people can handle that concept.

The CFL office is a creation of its member clubs. That is, the BOG runs the show. I hope people get that.

The CFL is a private concern. It is not publicly owned or traded.

All offical staff on the team has e-mail addresses with "ticats.ca" on them. Bob's is "@ticats.ca" as is anybody with a web-ready contact point. Follow me?

Ticats.ca is the official website of a private concern. The end.

Oski Wee Wee,

The sponsors on this website pay...the Ticats! I hope that is comprehensible.

If you were an employee with a web contact point with the Ticats organization, you would be devilsadvocate@ticats.ca . There really isn't any wiggle room on this point.

Oski Wee Wee,

  ok, ok, I give

no..wait a minute, one more thought first.

The sponsors who pay ticat.ca pay for the whole site, but it is just the forums that now actually belong to CFL.CA. How about that??
