I was not doing anything but asking a legit Question of a stampeder fan.
I know he is a very good QB and I just thought he might actually be drafted by an NFL team.
The question is however can the stamps afford to not take the chance and not draft him.

Stamps are not drafting Rourke at 1. It will be a DL likely

There was nothing silly about his question, simply because you happen to disagree, about his professional prospects with the NFL.

We’ll know in time regardless.

Great point - I have no doubt NFL scouts are having a harder look, despite what some of these critics appear to think already

Rourke is most likely a mid round NFL pick, even with the injury. Where are you getting UDFA?

But they may trade him to a mid first round drafting team. Get the mid-round pick plus a roster Canuck or even an up 'n comer!

Interesting trade idea, but I don’t think anyone will be terribly interested in taking much of a risk on Rourke, he would be years away from CFL , if he ever comes at all. I see him going in round 4 or 5 maybe

Agree. Dickenson has never been big on drafting guys who are not coming to try out or play.

Although drafting him means you would hold his future rights should he return to the CFL. Or sweet nothing if he sticks in the NFL.

Not a nice thing to say, especially on Bomber boards but the Bomber QB situation is easily the most dire in the league.

36 yr old Zach Collaros is in clear decline - obviously not yet hobo levels but in decline. After that, a wrecked up runner and Terry Wilson who Mike O’Shea decided couldn’t handle the situation after Collaros busted up his hand in the Grey Cup - O’Shea chose to sew up Collaros’ hand and let things be.

Other teams have fortified their QB situations with strong groups at #1/#2 - some even have solid #3 guys.

Bombers way behind. But drafting Rourke in the first 2 rounds may be seen as counter-productive. If he’s available in Rd 3 or 4, maybe? Control his rights til he washes out of the NFL.

You do realize every team has their own big board? Plus 8th ranked QB can be picked anywhere. He could very well be picked in the 3rd.
