Worthy's kickoff return TD sparks Alouettes to 1st win of season

MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes entered their Week 3 home opener against Saskatchewan on the heels of back-to-back tough losses to start the season, but the team received a major spark from return specialist Chandler Worthy that provided the boost they needed to turn things around.

Full credit to the Als. They know how to protect a lead (unlike another East Division team)

The return that was called back for the illegal block, did that take the Million away again?

I just couldn't imagine how that would feel.....you're on your edge biting your nails, you see the guy running free to the endzone, and you just won a cool million $$......then reality sets in....

It's my fault. I picked them to win the 1st 2 weeks, wanted to again yesterday but all the covid stuff & injuries and I went Sask.

I don’t think so. I think it has to be a kickoff return and that was a punt return.

Got to feel good for Worthy. Kicked around like an old dog by TO for years. Only regret is he didn't do it against the Argos.

A lot of us thought that. Damn you, Covid!

Congrats to the Als on a very impressive victory over the Riders and the has been but never will be Cody Farjardo. The Als did good in signing Trevor Harris. I still believe Vernon Adams can still perform and help the Als succeed. The Montreal squad have 2 decent QBs for the dash to the Grey Cup this season. All the hype by TSN that Farjardo was going to become an élite QB this season has just been proved wrong. A mediocre QB that can not get a win against a 0-2 team is all washed up. He tried to grab the headlines by imitating the Stamps but failed to start any come-from-behind victory until late in the 4th Q. Craig Dickenson needs to tell Farjardo "you just can not do that and be successful. Study the Stamps more" He has learned, it seems, that the addition receiver (Goal post) is not on the field and eligible to play, So who do the Riders have as his replacement? HA! HA! HA!

Nice to see the Als get their first victory at home versus the Riders in Week 3. The TSN turning point was Chandler Worthy's kickoff return to start the game :exclamation: My game ball goes to "Worthy" who had 205 combined return yards, in their 37-13 thrashing against the Riders.

I'd say Mtl has found their return man. No disrespect to Mario Alford but he is continously hurt and unavailable.
