Worst Security In Sports History

I think he's just sour that Ricky Fooley had a lousy game. I don't think he even registered a tackle, let alone a sack.

Lol, he’s like the gopher in Caddy Shack.

:)

I had no idea he was a repeat offender. Probably scored more TDs than the Riders did last year.

LOL !!! I was at the game and I didn’t hear Foley’s name mentioned once all night  . Was he even dressed ? He must be one of those so called superior Canadian players that A-51 was talking about that make the Argos the best stocked team in the league when it comes to Canadian talent and depth.. I got news for ya A-51 when it comes to Canadians and depth the Argos don’t even have the best in the East let alone the best in the league Bucko.

So basically it’s good. Providing a safe environment that everyone can enjoy. Not supposed to be a concentration camp…

OK - now that I've actually watched the video - that is probably the worst lack of security I ever recall seeing for any time a fan has jumped on a field anywhere.

You r joking right T Pat . I guess you missed a lot of sporting events in your lifetime if not . There r tons of players in MLB who have been kissed by the bandit who would disagree before she was part of the act officially . Rogue umpires and many other lunatics in many sports have done far worse .

They ran then they gave up because they weren't chased . It worked .

I’m sure this happens everywhere, except those stadiums where jumping down onto the field is a physical impossibility. The security doesn’t usually run after the guy, they corner him making a shrinking perimeter around him until he has nowhere to run.

This is not a blight on security, or the Argos, or the CFL or their fans…it is a blight on the a**holes who participate and the drunks who think it’s funny.

As for players or the league being held liable for injury caused by a player tackling one of these idiots, I’m pretty sure the law allows you to knock trespassers on their a**.

TSN doesn't broadcast their antics either. Missed a bit of the Argo game so may have missed that but I thought they had a policy of turning the cameras away to discourage the idiots, mostly drunken idiots.

With the sweat they are like a greased pig . You can be the strongest person in the world but you can’t grip because of the greasy disgusting sweat . I don’t blame them for walking over . He was only a threat to the game’s time length and nobody’s well being other than their own .

Before you trash everything Argos…again, let me remind you of this… https://youtu.be/_VwhER2agNY

Thanks for posting this for the benefit of all the “fans” who don’t bother attending CFL games and would have otherwise never seen this humiliating debacle.

The useless “security” at BMO made mall cops look like Navy SEALS.

Nah it's a summary conviction offence or trespass under provincial offences for that and even the cops don't tackle them anymore . They just run get tired and give up .

If they were running at the players or referee I would hope to see a faster response .

Remind me of what exactly rcon? I see security in that clip of yours making an attempt to get the fans involved. NONE IN SIGHT on the BMO video with the guy running the length of the entire field. I’ve never ever seen that before.

Correction - - the guy ran the length of the field, TWICE. From the north end to the south end and then back again.

I saw it a Redblacks game the first year on the south side . The guy ran got tired and the cops walked over casually and escorted him out . No fuss no one got hurt just another drunk probably held for public intox and charged with trespass and public intox .

He could also be charged with mischief but if it's a first offence and no harm done they usually get the POA ticket .

As far as terror alert stuff that people fear I hope we don't start hitting the fly with a hammer approach .

I agree with what they did. Drunken idiots do it for two reason; their 15 minutes of fame, and the thrill of how long they can avoid getting caught. Most networks turn their cameras away so there goes their 15 minutes of fame and if the cops just wait for them to tire out there is no thrill to just running around by yourself like an idiot. Bottom line, it happens a lot less.
However, if TravelPat and A-51 want to chase these morons down at CFL games have at 'er boys. I'm sure after just a few incidents they'll learn the same lesson security and police at these events have already learned; like a kid thowing a temper tantrum you just ignore them and they'll stop when they realize no one is paying attention.
