What a start for Texas!
What I said earlier about a pitcher’s duel?
Never mind.
Valdez out of the game and the 3d inning isn’t over yet.
That’s the deal with pitchers - sometimes it just isn’t your day…
Whats with the 2 foot long yellow sliding glove on that Texas base stealer!
Those have gotten a little ridiculous. I would look for rule changes for next season…
Ain’t that the truth.
There are not many sports where a single player hold your teams fate in his hands like baseball.
…and a dinger to make it 5-2…
This could be his last inning if he makes it thru
It’s a treat having Smoltz doing the commentary
What an inning by Eovaldi; bases loaded, nobody out, so he strikes out three in a row.
Wow. Bases loaded, no outs and you pitch your way out if it…what I love about October baseball.
The Blue Jays could learn something there…
Houston climbing back into the game here.
Man but Alvarez is a beast.
What a game.
Ouch…1 pitch 1 run…
4 pitches 2 runs for the Phillies…
Phillies are waiting on their pitches… 3 Solo HR’s in two innings.
Not Gallen’s night tonight. Phillies were waiting for him.
Wheeler on the other hand is hitting his targets and pitching lights out…
Turn the lights out…Phillies take game 1.

A bit odd that in all of these forums, we are the only 3 watching the baseball playoffs.
I count 5 that have regularly posted in this thread. As I said, best playoffs of any sport. Perhaps the worst regular season though.
5 earlier, but for the two games yesterday it was only me, Grover, and Squishy.
Ah I see. I can’t watch day games because I’m working and my Cowboys trumped baseball last night. Jets playing tonight so it will be a bit of both. Isn’t October wonderful?
To each his own. For me, no NFL game would ever trump a baseball game, particularly a playoff baseball game.
