I gotta pick SSK if it’s at all close because I don’t want to have conflict between my cheering in the pool and my cheering in the league. I’ll be picking SSK again in the Banjo Bowl.

I want to see 2.0 fine Miller the same way he’s fined players for speaking up on unsafe working conditions.
[I fully agree that the league needs to protect its players. But if players are going to get fined for speaking up on the conditions of their employment, hold football ops to the same standard.]

Another thing about QB safety. It’s not just the high shots to the head, though of course those types of shots are unacceptable concussion risks. I also find that defensive linemen these days are making a point of finishing a hit on a QB in the pocket by falling on top of them with their full body weight, and I can’t understand why it’s not getting flagged as RTP consistently. I don’t expect the DL to pull up in a split second if the QB waits til the last moment to throw. This is football. But if he throws, don’t wade into the guy and drop your 250-300 lbs. frame on a guy who is defenceless in the pocket.
I’ve seen QBs get hit like this too often this year, there is rarely a flag, and they always get up in pain.
I’m not throwing any particular team under the bus. This is a problem that affects everyone.

This was one the Riders had to take & lots of "experts’ expected them to. I did too - they shut down the rush, limited the passing though Zach’s departure had a lot to do with it. Harris was great. Bombers did nothing with Streveler in the 2nd half - & they lost.
Do you bet Riders? Who do they put on OL, does this not look like the last 2 years again? If Zach is out for the game, I’ll take 'em. Otherwise, I’ll say what I said last game - whomever wins the LDC sweeps the 2-game series.

Chris Stripper was as useless as hind tit in the 2nd half. His only decent plays were 3rd and shorts where he obtained required yards by fractions of inches.
His passing was as horrific as NFL passing was in the 1920s & early 30s. Buck Pierce & O’Shea have zero confidence in the guy. They thought he’d be bringing back a passel of skills from his extensive 3 yr NFL tour.
Still can be useful as a run threat but most teams now deploy a spy-catcher on Stripper. He’s been ordered not to throw into coverage so he ends up eating the ball. Zach has no such restrictions - Bombers now routinely expect Zach to pop for a couple picks every game. And he does.
Today or tomorrow we’ll learn more about Zach’s status for the Banjo Bowl. But it won’t be thru a medical report - it will be thru a roster move. If the Bombers bring in Jake Dolegala (or an NFL cut) we’ll know the Bombers have a Zach problem. If not, expect Zach to dress this weekend.
