Well, anybody who didn’t see this coming when the Elks beat the Bombers wasn’t paying attention…
The strength with 3DN is 10 x’s the reporting than you get with CFL, plus they’re aren’t employed by the league so you don’t get the vanilla reporting that is never negative toward the league. CFL.ca reporting isn’t even worth reading I only come to the site for the forum and injury reports.
The down side to 3DN is the reports are all fans of a specific team and their bias is as obvious as our is here in the forum more or less.
But for anything news worthy they’re superior to the cfl site.
yea i don’t mind hodge, abbott and dunk, but the rest of the writers are homers. ballantine is by far the worst (and his writing sucks). like you, i do like that they aren’t vanilla cfl garbage writers. only cfl writer worth reading is fergs when he does his qb analyses.
On 3DN, you can sniff the bias with Abbott and Hodge but it isn’t egregious and They have good analysis. I like the Montreal guy Pablo?… and there’s the guy that does the betting article and also writes post game analysis for the Riders sometimes to and he’s pretty good, about the same bias as hodge or Abbott. Not gasson, his article “the good the bad and the dumb” is literally the worst one. They should can him.
Jefferson has incredible wingspan to be sure - IF he can find his way into the passing lane, which he occassionally does. The real downside is age and lack of power. An average Canadian College RB will easily defeat Willy in a test of strength. If Bombers could find a massive bull-rushing DT or even DE, Jefferson would be far more effective, even in his current physically depleted state.
Montreal used the same plan in the 2025 ESF that they used in the 2023 Grey Cup – quick screen game to neutralize Jefferson’s knockdown capability and get him chasing the ball-carrier rather than the quarterback. Then pound the ball inside, while taking some calculated deep shots.
Knockdowns are great, but if that’s your whole thing, you become pretty easy to neutralize. And you’re also vulnerable to pump-fakes if you’re committing to the knockdown every time.
The other problem is that Vaughters is almost as old as Jefferson. . . . . not quite as physically weak and lacking the instincts Jefferson has honed over 10 years. Jake Thomas is a gamer, but most days he’s invisible, getting smothered in the blocking schemes. I’d give Vaughters and Thomas a strong C, with the odd C+ game this season. Jefferson was a B- most of the year, D or even F last two games of season and ESF. The other kid Bombers have on their o-line, don’t even known his name, he’s that forgettable. A Kyle Walters house special . . . .
Filoso the Redblacks guy is a straight shooter and he does it from Brazil.
I agree with this. I think their reporting is actually helpful for the league. People don’t want milquetoast reporting. We want critical discourse (well I do, anyway).
Actually yes, you’re correct. And pretty cool that he’s as involved and knowledgeable while
Living in Brazil.
I just can’t read his articles they’re waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to long for me!
even the vaunted tsn panel thinks bombers had a dynasty so idk, its not like nobody agrees
When in doubt, always defer to TSN panel. The fate of the free world may depend on it.
A few years ago? Man you’re really reaching. Anyway l like him, you don’t. C’est la vie.

They had one last year. Or was it 2 years since Thor was there?
The riders dynasty was from 1928 to 1935, look it up…
The riders had a dynasty???
Even when we had great teams in the West the grey Cup was always out of reach but for one time.
If a dynasty is based on trips to the GC within a short time period then the riders had a dynasty that rivalled modern day ones. Six trips in a row…
This is the only game thread that hasn’t been closed after one week all season long lol. Guess Jon doesn’t want to close the book on the Bomber season ![]()
You know that’s ridiculous, yet you post it.
I don’t close game threads out of habit unless there is a good reason to do so. Some have been closed, some are still open. It’s always been that way since I have been involved. Maybe inform yourself better.
