In an 8-team league, when one of the teams is unable to score a frickin' TD in 70% of its games your overall scoring is gonna' decrease!

Offensive and defensive dominance has always had a history of being cyclical. Nothing new here.
The NFL would appear bush league if they had the same ratio of inept QBs as the CFL does.

His “comprehensive” breakdown of each quarterback. What the hell was that? That was just Marty taking issue with every QB in the league because no one in the CFL will talk to him anymore due to his wretched reputation.

IMO the NFL does have the same ratio of inept QB's. How many would you say are elite in the NFL? Other then P. Manning, Brady, Brees there's not that much to get excited about.
The QB position was at the ALL-TIME worst level a few years ago in the NFL. It was such a big problem, that teams like the Baltimore Ravens had to transform the whole league by winning purely on boring defence with a loser QB. The Whole NFL Europe was created just for Quarterbacks, and that wasn't working out. Dickenson, Garcia, Ray, and even Flutie got their chances because of the weak field. I mean come on Bills fans, was Rob Johnson embarrasing or what? But alas, that was the NFL, so it was OK. Perception is everything.
I honestly can't believe that anyone actually reads that column and I don't think that Marty York has enough respect from anyone in the CFL or his peers that he should, supposedly, be quoting them verbatim. I think that he sits on a situation until everyone has a say and then uses all of the quotes from the other media to make it look like he actually has an opinion. Plagiarism at its sneakiest.
I always felt that the CFL, before the season starts, should allow Marty York to present the Grey Cup to the Toronto Argonauts, he would probably wet his pants in the process.

York wouldn't know a wretched team if he played for one and he certainly couldn't tell a good official from a bad one, unless they weren't favouring the Argos.
