lets talk about Joseph player,against Edmonton he had a game-high 118 yards rushing. Joseph was 22-of-38 passing for 343 yards and a TD. he may not have had a good couple first games that's because he had to get to know the coaching staff,players and new plays. considering Joesph led last year in the CFL in rushing with 700 yards and is the most valuable player,won Grey cup
who would you rather have as a QB Joseph or Printers?
Alright....allow me to be the first one to stick up for our guy. I'd take Printers!
Casey has the tools to be the best QB in the CFL.....oh yeah and lets not forget, he was the best QB in the CFL a few years ago before rotting on an NFL practice squad for two seasons.
I love his passion and determination. He wants to be the leader of this team and he wants to win....bad! That and he's willing to shoulder the blame and be up front with everyone, just like he does on his radio show EVERY week!

That's a well thought out argument. You should write a book.
He might not have a TD pass yet but that's because we're running the ball so much. (Don't forget his 4 rushing TD's which is tied for second in the entire league...RB's included.) His passing TD's will come. This whole team has to get better as a unit, but if you want to point fingers right now, Casey and the O is not the problem.
Nothing against Joseph because I like him too, but I'll take our guy.
Printers has shown that he wants to win here. He has a very positive attitude and the guy plays his heart out. ( prime ie, that run in the Calgary game. He took the hit, head on. Got up quick. That says it all right there. The guy is trying!!!)
I really believe he is going to have a stellar game against the Eskimoes!!!
I'm relieved to see FootballYouBet finally weigh in with his opinion on Printers. I've been in suspense in case you'd changed your mind from the previous 100 times you did so.
But I digress. I just wanted to mention a stat I heard during the Calgary game the other night. I thought they said that Hamilton had scored a TD 6 out of the 10 times they had been in the red zone this season. After 2 more scores in that game, they would be 8 for 10. All were rushing TDs, obviously.
I'm going to guess that most of the coaches in the league would take those odds in a second even if it meant their QB would not throw for another TD pass all season. Why would you take the risks involved in a throw when your ground game is such a sure thing? (Although we do seem to have particular difficulty once we reach the one yard line.)
Anyway, now all we have to do is sustain drives long enough to get to the red zone a little more often.
Printers hasn't impressed me at all. Looks terrible when he doesn't have the running game to fall back on. Although, this may be partly Bellfeuille's crappy system's fault.
Looks more rsuty to me. I really think reps will help him.
He has ability, it's the fundamentals that are lacking (looking off, touch on the ball, stepping up in the pocket, happy feet).
Reps should cure that, and once they do, watch out.

I believe Printers has the athleticism, and talent. He just has to get more playing time. Sometimes people forget he has only played one full season in the C.F.L with a very talented B.C Lion team.
I think minor mistakes such as rushing passes and running back 15 yards, instead of stepping up in the pocket can be fixed. McManus is the coach to teach him. Once he gets some confidence and a calming influence he is going to be a very dangerous QB.
