I thought Lolley did a fine job taking over from Reinebold when the teams D was in COMPLETE shambles and all time low last season.
Don’t know a lot about him as a coach but would be shocked if he got the job with no ties to OS as far as i know.
Last week the story was Stubler to B C Lions but nothing but crickets since. Then the story about TiCat interest in him arrived at the door .

We had Lolley, and let him go.
Why would you think that:
- we would ask him back, if we didn’t think he was good enough to keep in the 1st place?
- Lolley would like to come back, once already snubbed.
Remember - once u snub someone, rarely do they come back.
Stubler is a prime example of that.

And how many tours of duty has Stubler completed in BC?
There has been a handful of regime changes since Stubler was last here. There is no way he would miss out on a nice paycheque in Hamilton because of something that happened 30 years ago. He’s going on his fourth tour of duty in BC so clearly the snubbing doesn’t affect him.
He cleaned up a train wreck after the team bailed on Austin and Reinebold and for that he deserves some credit perhaps.
But his defense wasn’t particularly hard to move the ball or score against.
I too was skeptical of Lolley’s DC abilities since he has primarily been a LB coach most of his career. After checking his profile though it appears he accomplished quite a bit from Labour Day forward. Check it out.

I wonder if Jones friendship and past association with Glanville was the sole reason for Lolley not being retained after stepping up and doing a solid job? And hardly a word spoke when he wasn’t reatained.
One of the many Ticat mysteries like WHAT DOES COACH Ptaszek do on game day 2017 and why did they hire him if they had no intentions of letting him coach?
A new HC hiring a friend to replace someone he doesn’t know is a " mystery" to you ?
One mystery to me was in how little fanfare his departure was met. I had just assumed even after the friend hire that Lolley would be still on the Ticat staff. Next thing I knew he was on another teams staff.
The second mystery to me is is Wiki page
He currently coaches for theHamilton Tiger-Catsas aDefensive Coordinator.
Very little has been made of Ptaszeks coming and going for sure. Odd.
Completey screwed the pooch but team and Edwards didn’t want to embarrass him by stating such…is my guess.
If the new DC is not one of Steinauer, Reinebold, Lolley or Glanville,
It will be our 5th different DC in the last 5 seasons. :o
I am still trying to figure out the let’s sign Sinkfield and not play him mystery.

Especially when you consider that the HC decided to dress the Invisible Man aka Marquay McUseless instead of Sink . The only time I saw Marquay last season was when I noticed his picture was on the side of a milk carton .
To be honest I am still trying to figure out why we bothered to sign McDaniel in the first place . I lost all respect for him after the 2017 Cup when he totally threw his team mate under the bus and blamed him for the loss . What really was the last straw though for me with this guy was how he was caught on camera casually jogging down field on that fumble return TD like he had nothing to do and all day to do it instead of giving it his all .
Oh well , as you say water under the bridge because there is not a hope in Hell that Marquay will be back for next season…sadly though unfortunately I’m thinking the same fate will most likely also happen to Sink as well . :-\
