Who is the best pass rusher in the CFL?

Football games are often won or lost in the trenches.

For the offence, the big men up front need to protect their quarterback to allow him time to make plays. For the defence, well… they will do absolutely anything to break down that protection.

…I’d probably say or Flo () and (Jake) Ceresna’s pretty good. (Willie) is so big. He affects the passer not only by getting to the quarterback, but he can knockdown balls, it’s hard. (Flo) can bend like no other. Just watching him work, he gets around that corner and he bends on those tackles, it’s a wrap. This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at

While I am a big fan of Willie Jefferson I don’t know if he really is at the top of the list. One thing about him I really like is his habit of putting his left hand on the QB’s shoulder from behind and then bringing his right arm down on his passing arm, often causing a fumble. That move must be a terrific blow to a QB’s composure and confidence.
One thing Jefferson has done in the past that bothers me is when he grabs a fumble or makes an interception and then fools around getting to the endzone. Please! Please! Get in the endzone first and THEN look for a teammate to celebrate with!
