Who do you want in the GC?

Was Seattle playing at home?

I am not sure who the teams were.
Just that there were 13 men on the feild for the D

Three bad boys, what shall we ever do about this transgression?
@Paolo_X would suggest 10 lashes but that is rather harsh.

Who do I want in the GC?

Well since the Bombers won’t be in this thing, I would like to see the ā€˜Cats and the Riders beat the living crap out of each other from start to finish and bring the house down.

And two seconds after the final gun sounds I would to see a bench clearing brawl for the ages that makes the Hanson Brothers beat down in Slap Shot look like a sissy fight. I would also like to see Cop cars drive onto the field with sirens blaring as wide-eyed Mounties guarding The Cup try their best to stand heroically at attention like the unflappable guards at Buckingham Palace.

Finally, I’d like to see our Prime Minister (he could be there) take control of the situation and make an historically bad decision to award The Cup to whichever team isn’t mostly taken away in handcuffs. Then, as our hapless PM gets mobbed by the actual winners, I’d like to hear boos rain down from the stands from angry ticket holders which would probably force CFL Commissioner Stewart Johnston to grab the microphone and announce to the crowd, ā€œThere will be no refunds!ā€

Hopefully I’m not asking for too much here.

Ok there is now proof positive @Maaax is certifiably delusional.
I like the cut of his jib.
That is all.
Carry on.

You needed ā€˜proof’?

I never assume.
Proof is always required.
It has happened that people suddenly became sane too.

for what it is worth, we still could have ended up with same final 4

did anyone notice that Oliviera is pondering a move. I know the nuances of negotiation, and he wants more $$, but it sounded somewhat more than that.

Certainly

Yea he would look great in Rider Green😁

Then what would you do with the ā€˜Missing Link’ ? Don’t think that you would have room for both .

We got room for both.
@Jon might come burn a cross on my lawn tho

Friends, the real Grey Cup is being played in Regina this Saturday. ^^

Of the four remaining teams, Hamilton is the weakest, but not by much, so MTL vs SK or BC will do me just fine. Actually, whichever two teams win on Saturday will make for what could be a fantastic Grey Cup just as long as the winners go to the big game with healthy starters.

This Grey Cup could be one for the ages as there will be two very solid teams duking it out.

One thing that makes me wonder about BC is that they almost lost against Cal in a game they should have dominated. Were they overconfident? Had the Stamps managed their final possession smarter, they could have pulled off a huge upset.

Hammy played pretty crappy ball down the stretch. Were they playing possum and waiting to roar in the playoffs?

Sask has the best overall team, but now they have to prove it. That said, if ol’ Harris trips stepping out of the shower and can’t play, they are done with Maier as the next man up.

I kept waiting for Alexander to return to action to see just how good the Als were. They struggled mightily against the BBs last week in a game that was much closer than it should have been. Do the larks put on a show this Saturday? Hard to bet against them.

I’m greatly looking forward to both finals. My butt don’ leave the sofa this Saturday. I’ve already stocked up on Depends so I won’t miss a second of the action.

I assume you mean Mtl should have played in Wpg because Wpg had the tie breaker(if there was one)
If it worked that way…. the 4th place Bombers would have a home game and the 3rd place Stamps would not

Saw that as well. Scrimmage was near the goal line. How do you not spot two extra players on defense in a 10 yard endzone?

In a one division league
Sask, BC bye
Mtl at Cgy
WPg at Ham

In a 2 div league with top team in each a bye
Sask, Ham bye
Mtl at BC
Wpg at Cgy

Winnipeg doesn’t get a home game if it’s done properly. Can’t use the head to head for a tiebreaker in a crossover situation and ignore all the other teams in the playoffs.

Anyway, all four in the finals deserve to be there.

Correct. I already clarified. My point is tgat there is no way that Winnipeg should have played in Montreal as they had the tiebreaker over them 2-0. The lower seeded team hosted the higher seeded team. They didn’t earn that placing on the field. That has to stop.

Never. I might dump manure on it though,

It will never happen though and you don’t have room for both. You would be paying close to $500,000 for two running backs who couldn’t play at the same time. Be my guest if the Riders management thinks that is a smart use of the salary cap.
