Who can down the Bombers?

There’s no doubting who the favourite is to win the Grey Cup this season.
Of the five other playoff bound teams, which one has the best shot at beating
Winnipeg, either in the western final, or for the cup?

Simple answer is...Any of them....orrrr....Winnipeg can just beat themselves .

I’m thinking Calgary. It’s a combination of them playing good football and a gut feeling.

I’d say it’s more likely Winnipeg beat themself than another team doing it.
But you never know. That’s the beauty of it.

…been a few times as a stamp fan that I’ve looked at our #1 team and thought ‘unstoppable’, only to have those thoughts evaporate from an underdog performance…Winnipeg is a great team, the best in the league right now, just don’t engrave the names yet…

Fun fact . If the Grey Cup matchup turns out to be Winnipeg vs Montreal it will mark the first time they have ever met and played each other in the championship history of the Grey Cup .

Yup . It’s pretty crazy alright that in a nine team (sometimes eight team ) league that you wouldn’t have every combination of East vs West happen at least once in the Grey Cup .

The thing of it is that if you look at the history it seems like almost every time that Montreal got there it was against Edmonton and the same thing for Hamilton and Winnipeg .

Edmonton vs Montreal has been the matchup in 10 Grey Cups
Winnipeg vs Hamilton has been the matchup in 11 Grey Cups

And Bomber fans know exactly too…Stamps stole a Grey Cup from us way back where they limped into the playoffs and we were the dominant team.

If the Bombers come into this game focused and play their game, it doesn't matter what any other team does.
Refs though could be the equalizer.

Toronto truly pisses me off . They never seem to lose whenever they get to the Grey Cup . :grimacing:
