Which Positions Transfer Best Between NFL and CFL?

You may have missed that they changed the rule in the offseason for the 2015 NFL season.

The spot of the snap is at the 15, and depending on the holder and kicker combination on any given team, the kick is from usually anywhere between the 22 or 23 yard line for 32 or 33 yards.

Let’s note that there is no rule and never has been a rule on exactly where behind the line of scrimmage the convert/PAT is taken. 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage is the most common spot though.

And also as we saw Doug Flutie do successfully for his last play in the NFL, a drop kick is also a legal kick at goal for points. We won’t see that again for awhile.

Current NFL xtra point is 20 yards with ball spotted on the 2, considering spotting the ball on the 15 yard line making it a 33 yard kick.

I thought they were going to try it at the 15 and 20 during the preseason wasn't aware that they had already approved the 15. Appreciate the info. Surprised there was no comments about the change at the Giants/Texas game.
Your right there is no rule on placement of the ball for the kicker. I've seen as close as 3 yards and as far as 12 yards from the line of scrimmage.
Final point, when you get settled in Allentown go watch an IronPigs game at Coca Cola Park.

God thank the NFL changed the rule too,or you would have every insecure Canadian going on about how bush league the CFL is my going the ball from the 35 and how if a snap was fumbled and they somehow ran it in from their they would only get the same number of points as getting it in from the 2.

God is spell check terrible. I can't even understand what the hell I wrote..haha
