Where will your team start the minimum 8 nationals this year?
Elks have quite a few very skilled Nationals this year. They could start as much as 9. But I am still confused, is it 7 or 8 needed to start?? Some say 7, I also see 8 in other posts.
8, but the 8th can be a nationalized American. Someone with the team for 3 years or in the CFL for 5.
Is it kickoff time yet for the CFL?
The CFL is gonna be great this year as it looks like at least in the West, for the most part, the teams have beefed up and shored up where they needed to.
Start them in the usual non-skilled Canadian positions - 4 O-linemen if possible, the 1 safety, 1 Cdn receiver- and if there is a decent Cdn LB or D lineman.
This is what fans talk about in the offseason. Who’s playing where? Who do you want you team to draft.
Find some excelent canadian receivers on par with any great Americans at that position.
You guys have good ones. Emelis, KSB, Busby and Ajou could very well come back. Plus Mims is a dark horse.

Yes, i hope they finally become what we all hoped them to be this season.
So how do you figure that those positions are all non-skilled positions ? Pretty biased calling O-Lineman , safeties and receivers as jobs that entail having no skill involved to play . Would you consider that players in the NFL who play these positions to also be non-skilled as well or is that just reserved for the Canadian players in the CFL ?

me team will likely start they 8 starters at Oline D Secondary, Receivers, D Lineman
For Elks,
On the O Line, 4 and
1 WR - Gittens/Mathis,
1 FB - Grahovac.
1QB - Ford,
1 DL - many choices,
1 DB - Ford/ Metchie
For Montreal, it’s still in flux.
Base 7: 2 OL (Lestage, Lawrence), 1 WR (Philpot), 1 FB (Dallaire, with nationalized American Spieker subbing in 5-receiver sets), 2 DE (Adeyemi-Berglund and Uguak, with Archibald in the rotation and Cantin-Arku maintaining ratio in 3-4 sets), 1 FS (Dequoy)
Extras: 1 OL (if they stay Canadian at right guard instead of starting Ventrelli there), 1 nationalized American somewhere (could be Mustafa Johnson, Shawn Oakman, or even Wes Sutton).

I remember when Brandon Bridge was in Sask as the QB in 2017 or 2018. For some reason I don’t think counted him against the required Canadian starters and he went on a mission to change whatever it was that prevented that. Does anyone know if that situation has been resolved.
Definitely Smith at DE, you guys made him the highest paid defensive end on the league.
I would also say Julien-Grant as another receiver. Potential to sub in Dublanko or Brodrique at lb if needed

Argos. The Argos could be looking at going all Canadian on the offensive line if they can find a RT from the trio of Doxeter, Vandel or Bosse to go with Hunter, Giffen, Ciraco, Nicastro from left to right. Bissett at WR Mitel at SB would give them 7 starters on offense. Cam Judge at WLB and Blackburn at safety would give them 9 Canadian starters without using a veteran American for the 8th starter. WR Daniels or MLB McManis would qualify for that position if needed.
