Larry Uteck, Michael Soles, and of course Tony Proudfoot were other Alouettes players hit with this awful disease.
Football players are apparently 4 times as likely than the general public to develop the disease.

What initially began as an idea for a training program for athletes has turned into a multimillion-dollar operation that is skyrocketing in popularity, and Hawkins — a former wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals — is at the center of it all. In 2020, Hawkins and former college quarterback Troy Jones started sports software company StatusPro and two years later launched Pro Era, a first-person virtual reality video game that uses player data to create simulations of NFL action. Now licensed with the NFL and NFLPA, the game has more than one million users and last year raised $20 million in funding to expand its reach and capabilities.
Smart guy. I remember how congenial and pleasant he was when interviewed. Great to see him do well. So many Pro athletes squander their wealth and retire with nothing.

Happy to see that Sean Jamieson is coaching the OL at Western. I might have missed that earlier, but glad to see he has landed well. Was sad for him how his career ended largely with injury.

Le numéro 64 a joué pour les Alouettes de 2017-2023 et il a participé à 59 parties dont 43 comme débutant. C’était un joueur polyvalent et talentueux, mais sa carrière a été marquée par d’importantes blessures au genou.
Le 19 novembre 2023, il était habillé comme remplaçant garde lors de la partie de Coupe Grey gagnée par les Alouettes.
Lors de cette Coupe Grey, le bloqueur offensif N remplaçant était Landon Rice.
Ses deux (2) vétérans joueurs N de ligne offensive du club, ont eu alors l’opportunité de gagner cette Coupe Grey avec le club.
S. Jamieson a été libéré par les Alouettes le 25 janvier 2024 et il s’est joint à son alma mater , l’université Western, comme entraîneur de la ligne offensive pour la saison 2024.
C’était un véritable joueur d’équipe avec les Alouettes, sa seule équipe professionnelle et un joueur de ligne offensive de l’université Western comme Pierre Vercheval.
