WHERE ARE THE MARSHALL WHINERS???

The team has dramatically improved ever since Marshall was fired. Where did all you: Marshall was fired "I'm not renewing my season tickets" fans go??? Too much egg on your face???

Nah.

The team has been in every game.

The team has improved steadily every game.

Maybe they went.

Then WHY was Marshall fired??? You’re way off.

The “I’m not renewing my seasons tickets” crowd finds whatever excuse is in vogue that day to justify their claims. Funny how ticket sales continue to rise in the past few years.

Maybe they are on the Edmonton web-site after reading the STORY on cbc.ca?

"Hugh Campbell would like to be the person
responsible for luring former Hamilton Tiger-Cats
coach Greg Marshall back to the Canadian Football League."

Dramatically improved? Well, I think that might be pushing it, Rip.

I was - still am against - the Marshall firing but of course want the best for the team and support Lancaster.

But, I doubt the coaching change has made that much of a difference.

Bottom line is the offence is still struggling and we're 1-5.

And, let's remember 3 of our losses came against the best team in the League, the mighty Montreal Alouettes.

Our slow start is probably a result of a team of good players trying find their stride together and a tough schedule. Not Greg Marshall.

Good find, Dan_here

Does anyone have a guess as to the Tiger Cat player
that Hugh Campbell is referring to when he says

"sometimes a player loses confidence
and the team as a whole loses momentum

and you hand the baton to someone else.
It doesn't mean that Greg did a bad job."?

The first 3 guesses don't count.

BINGO… and let me add…PaoPao has been with the team all year along with his O-line sidekick! They did fire the wrong guy!

I don’t think so. Like I have said before Marshall had already laid the groundwork. If you knew anything about football you would know that preparation and game planning is the most important part. (and not just 2 or 3 days before preparation.)

Hi Woody:
I know you're a staunch Marshall supporter and therefore, don't wish to offend you, however, I think they fired the right guy.

It was Marshall's coaching philosophy that put us in the hole we're in now, including the hiring of the assistant coaches, namely Paopao.

Secondly, Getting rid of Marshall for Lancaster was the most seamless move the Cats could make with the season under way.

Lancaster has been around Marshall's "system" since day one whereas a new Offensive Co ordinator would have had a lot of catching up to do in order to learn the system.

I'm not high on any of our coaches, but for this year, I think we have to live with them and hope for improvements next year.

It would have been better if the team kept Lancaster as coach after the 1&17 season and brought Marshall on as an assistant. However, with a new owner came a fresh start. There was probably influence from all the “fire_____” camp. These are the same people who ran Calvillo out of town.
