when will the show the REDBLACKS new uni's will it be further on in the season or shortly before the next one?

The sooner they unveil it, the sooner they will start selling. But there won't be any names to go on them. Perhaps they are waiting until after the draft to put them on sale, as jerseys are worth double with a name and number.

I would assume that they’d be out by the time of the expansion draft, although that really is just a guess. Hopefully sooner than later. Would be nice if they had a promotion for the early-PRN holders where they got a free or discounted jersey with season ticket purchase, although I really don’t see that happening.

The argos used to ( maybe they still do?) give season ticket holders 15% off argos merchandise - including jerseys - purchased at the jay's store in the skydome. That's big savings on a jersey.

Perhaps the RedBlacks should do something similar.

In June, they said they were hoping to have them "within a couple of months" but that's been pretty fluid with this bunch. They have the time, so they use it. As they should.

I would think that the event of a uniform launch would be best timed in the spring of 2014 (Feb to April). A perfect excuse for media attention just before the season and right in the heart of a season ticket drive.

I always thought these were great looking uniforms with one exception - putting an actual picture of a helmet on the jersey looked very dumb. Put the logo there if you must (or just keep it clean), but you don’t put the helmet on there. Other than that, I always like the road version they had in the 70’s with the red pants to go with them, better than the white or black pants on the road.

I am guessing the new uniforms will come out just before the expansion draft in December. I'm sure they will be just as unique as the name RedBlack as it looks like the owners are thinking outside the box here on marketing. Probably lots of scarlet Red and Black.

i've been saying to go with the old RR uniforms forever. lose the helmet logo on the sleeves, and replace it with he sawblade logo.

i would like to see these uniforms unveiled soon, but not for sale to the public until the roster has been made. this way, when they sell a jersey, they hopefully sell the name and number on the jersey as well.

i wish ottawa would stick with the renegade name and uniforms...

Strangely enough, I actually don’t mind the Renegades name, logo, or apparel whatsoever. That primary red jersey is an absolute beaut.

I kinda suspect it might be revealed during grey cup week, when all the nation's media is covering football. It would get a lot of coverage across the nation if that were the case.

I'm getting very excited. It will be great to Ottawa back in (hopefully) jerseys that are a throwback to the glory days of Ottawa football. Now if there was someone with extremely deep pockets in desperate need of a hobby to build a stadium in the Maritimes and put in a team to get us up to 10 teams..... :smiley: :wink:

The league is going to have a huge boost with a new stadium jam packed Ottawa in existence. Watch that 10th team and possibly another big boom in the CFL like what happened in the early 2000's.
