What's happening in Edmonton- steady free fall ?

oh by no means am I suggesting Canada is inferior to the U.S., only that there are a good number of Canadians who measure indigenous branded content to that of our American Big Brother.
Yes, sentiments of patriotism/nationalism/heritage is at a high level at the moment but this does not necessarily translate to greater pride or interest in Canadian sports, entertainment or media culture.

If the Raptors or Jays were members of an all Canadian pro league (such as the NBL of Canada or the CBL) rather than an International North American league, the popularity and media focus of both would barely register on the radar here.

The CFL and NFL were also once on a similar scale of salaries. The CFL recently has put in place the salary cap which was very low within the last decade. Now that stadiums are modernized for modern streams of revenue such as: premium setting options, Corporate naming rights to stadiums and sections within the stadium, Sponsorship adds and prime spots in the stadium that will be seen on TV, as well as much higher TV audience, and a bit higher amount of TV dollars.
Will the CFL grow in income of the US NFL? No but what league anywhere in the world does. Comparing the CFL to the NFL is not a fair way to assess the CFL.
The same can be said of Canada's to pro league the NHL. Although the NHL is a shared league across Canada and the US. NHL teams in Canada and the same cities and areas of CFL teams Bring in much more revenue and have a much bigger cost to operate because because of that.
There is nothing wrong with the CFL and where it is at. By comparison it is well in line and growing to many pro league in different countries and sports around the world.
