What if..........

:? :? :?

Just throwing this one out there.
What if the ticats play Kevin Eakin on Friday and he has a great game and we win, How do you think that would look to Jason and the coaches??

Randy

It would look like we have a solid backup, and it gave Jason a week to get healthy.

Eakin cant do anything on Friday and Maas didnt do last Thursday against Montreal.

31-40 -374

And those are numbers he put up with no threat of a rushing attack.

Well Crash and sigpig did point it out very eloquently in another thread that a good game by Eakin would cause some real problems...albeit the problem would be a good one temporarily because I'm afraid that we may lose Eakin at the end of the season...he is still being watched very closely by the NFL and I can't blame the guy for wanting to go for the Big Bucks"!

Remember...he came to Hamilton because he wanted to play...he didn't want to hold a clipboard in the NFL...he wanted to play!

I think that a good game or several will only up the ante to get him signed and I'm sure he will wait till the end of the season to see what free agency brings! :expressionless:

All the more reason we cant afford to play around with the QB situation, Maas is under contract for a couple years and benching him might pose a problem.

If Lancaster is true to his word, and I think he always has been, starters do not lose their position because of injury. Eakin, if he plays, can hopefully have a great game, but when Maas is healthy he will be the starter until such time (if and when) he loses his spot by his play and I would not count on that happening.

If Jason's injury hampers him enough so that he can't play
I am sure he willl be happy if the Cats play Kevin on Friday
and he has a great game and we win, as will the coaches.

I want a playoff team this year.

I am not going to worry now about what happens after that, remarcot,
or what happens next year, woody, I will leave that up to Rob Katz.

So what happens when Boreham is healthy again?

That injury (?) didn't occur on Ronnie's watch, so technically was not a starter under Lancaster. I figure Boreham had already lost his starting spot by his play and will be cut or moved.
