What if the NFL took away the CFL and our Grey CUP

I believe the product and talent is way overrated! Yes they have 30 some teams which alot of them are not competitive. Their game is easy to get down to the end zone with four downs, short field,no width. Easier ball to thow! The NFL quarertbacks who hardly ever get touched because their not allowed to be hit or the line is too fat and slow because the field is so small, really could every time run the ball four times and get a first down every time, so you really have to throw a down away to have their game work.

Doug Futie said once on Dave Letterman when he was with the Argos Grey Cup team, that talent level on the argos could compete with any NFL game, and are every bit as good or better and you would be surprised if the Grey Cup champs played them at their game or at our game.Maybe half and half and if their so great they can play on our size field so we can watch them die on our field.Doug Fuitie said football fans would be surprised at the outcome. Futie would know he played in both leaques. Look what Ricky WILLIAMS DID I the CFL. I would bet any NFL fan that the quarter back for the bears would not make three string on any CFL team. He would get killed and could not throw our ball, he would be an amateur in our leaque. He can play in the NFL but not in the CFL, because like MOOn said and Bell who played in both, you have to be a better and more talented quarter back in the CFL to be successful.

i know of a certain CFL player who has been in NFL camps who says his current CFL team would beat a couple NFL teams i mentioned.

ok, but where does the concept of "nfl take away cfl and the cup" come in??

Isn't the Grey Cup property of the Canadian public, since it was a gift by the GG back in 1909.

Here we go again. Another NFL vs CFL thread. :thdn:

He looked into my crystal ball!

Let me fill you in…

George Bush III is still looking for Bin Laden. He heard he was hiding in the Oil Sands in Fort McMurray. So, Bush sent the Troops to Fort McMurray to Free the Albertans from the Evil federal Liberals, and in the meantime, Conservative Leader Paul Godfrey set up NFL franchises in the 8 CFL Cities!

Its just that simple!

You are a wise man indeed, I couldn’t of said it better myself! But to pontificate…we often under-rate the quality of players in the CFL. Not only are they tremendous athletes, but they are hungrier than NFL players, always trying to prove themselves…playing for pride, not money (and a chance to get noticed by NFL scouts).

In todays game, their players are tougher, and better in general. Our players are under rated a lot of the time, but you will never see a Ray Lewis type playing LB in Canada...

Which is a product of playing for money 95% of the time.

There will never be a CFL vs. NFL game again because the last time it happened, Hamilton Beat the Buffalo Bills. haha.

If it did for some reason happen, it would need to be a home and home. whoevers turf whoevers game.

Thered be wayyyyyyyy to many penalties from one league not knowing the other's rules

so Jman your saying the CFL would win then? lol.

Everyone knows NFL rules.

Well think about it…

hey I'm all for it. That's the excuse the NFL used when Hamilton Beat them the last time the two leagues played each other in the 60s.

jman, GET MORE RIDER SEASON TICKET HOLDERS! lol, it's your job. Go out and get the Rider Season ticket base past 16K!!

Bills vs. Argos
Als vs. Saints
Browns vs. Green Priders
Packers vs. Edmonton(lol, same uni's)
Vikes vs. Bombers
Lions vs. Seahawks
Stamps vs. Texans

4 CFL rules
4 NFL rules
If the CFL wins 2, the NFL sucks.

Isn’t Toronto FC going to play a game or two agains’t some of the “big” European clubs? Not that I need the CFL to play a game agains’t the NFL or whatever, but if MLS can do it, why can’t the CFL and NFL do it? Might actually be interesting.

And Dick Cheney will have a team in Haliburton.

Its all a matter of injuries Earl. I would hate to see Geroy Simon, Buck Pierce, Anthony Calvillo, Ricky Ray, Joffrey Reynolds or any star of this league get hurt in a meaningless game.

True enough Sportsmen, less chance of injuries in soccer.

Although Earl, I want to know whats in that magic water bottle.

You see a soccer player get hit, he's rolling on the ground, grimacing in pain, out comes the stretcher. The Referee issues a yellow card, then poof, a miracle recovery, the injured player is on the field and scores the winning goal.

At my age, I need whats in that water bottle!
