What happens if Brady is dominant again this week?

Just curious to know what you guys feel Popp should do if Brady is dominant again this week. Calvillo is attempting to come back for next week's game in Montreal.

Do you tell Calvillo he'll have to wait for an opportunity.

Do you put Calvillo on the 9 game injury list?

Do you give the ball back to Calvillo?

Oooo....tough call. I have have much respect for AC and I hate to see a starter lose his spot due to injury but if Brady continues to play the way he did against BC (arguably the best defense in the league), how do you send him back to the bench? Oh well, I guess it's a good problem to have and should make for some interesting discussion. A QB controversy in Montreal. Who would have thought?

It IS a nice problem to have, and a welcome relief. The only QB controversies we've had are debates as to who, among Ted White, Tavares Bolden, Nealon Greene, Dan Gonzalez, Jamie Barnette, was worse!

I'm not voting in the poll just yet, I want to see how Brady fares against Edmonton on their turf.

Edmonton has the advantage of seeing game film of Brady where BC did not. This game is a western road game as well. For these two reasons I see this as a bigger challenge for Brady. I am really anxious to see this game played out.

Well put Hfx; last time he was a bit of an unknown quantity for BC's defence, and we were playing at home. So give Edmonton some points for having recent film to study and having home field. On the other hand, the Eskimos' defence isn't as good as BC's, so will it help them? We shall see...........

While it is true that Edmonton has some film, do they have the personnel to stop Brady? I think they are in tough as long as our offensive line plays like it did last week. They must not forget about Payton either, otherwise...

Anyway, I am eager to see how Brady plays on someone else's turf though. Should be a good game.

If Brady continues to play well, he should continue to start. You respect seniority, but you reward performance. I am a big fan of Calvillo and I've had to defend him to many this year, but he is not the future of this team at QB, and we've got to start thinking about who's going to fill his shoes.

Valid point. AC is 35 and in the final year of his contract, so it sure is time to see if we have his successor already or if we need to recruit our QB of the near future this offseaon.

If Brady continues to perform as he did against BC, I think we have our answer, and Maas can stay on the bench and McMahon can be told 'thanks but no thanks.'

Calvillo is the starter, so Calvillo goes back IF he's ready, with the understanding that a switch may be made in any particular game, just to throw a different look at the opposition, if they seem to be on to AC's game.
The only problem I see with this idea is that it might let the coaching staff off the hook. Having problems? - switch QB's! (instead of fixing the problem, which could be poor game planning, for example).
But Brady before Maas, at this stage of the game.

Calvillo is also running out his contract. Should he come back to early and agravate that tear it would likely mean the end of his carreer.

I would wait for Calvillo to be 100%, not 80% like he may try to do.

If his injury gets worse, what will he gain?

Id kinda ease brady into the starting role kinda like how calvillo got ot be a starter. He started off riding the pine and came in for a few games later and as he proved himself more and more he was givne more and more responsibilities.

If Brady can show he cna get it done on a consistent basis while calvillo is out Id probably sign calvillo to a 1-2 year contract after this one is up and have him groom Brady as his replacement
