What bugs me about Canadian sports

Ok, a family affair type of thing but my cousin’s kid, Luke Tevlin, a decent baseball player that played in the US on a baseball scholarship at Binghamtom University and did well, signs again with Hamilton Cardinals in the Ontario Intercounty League, ton of history see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intercounty_Baseball_League

buts receives zip coverage in the main local newspaper Hamilton Spectator.

Just reeks of sad but is what it is I guess. I suppose I shouldn’t expect anything like this to be in the Hamilton Spectator, I guess. :-\

CARDINALS SIGN INFIELDER LUKE TEVLIN

The Hamilton Cardinals are pleased to announce the return of infielder Luke Tevlin ( Toronto ). Luke played the 2017 season with the Cardinals hitting .364 (8-22) with 3 rbi's in limited action. He sat out all of 2018 recovering from arm surgery. Luke spent 4 season at D.1 Binghamton University and in 2018 while playing hurt hit .297 (30-101) in his senior year. "Luke is a tremendous talent, he can play all 4 infield positions, he can run, he hits gap to gap and he is great in the locker room. We are really lucky to have him healthy and back with the Cardinals." stated GM Jeff Lounsbury Upon signing Tevlin said "I'm really excited to be healthy and a part of the squad again. I played with Hamilton a couple summers ago so I'm really looking forward to contributing as a fully healthy player this year"...
