Half way through… Based on current standings, to win a play-off breath, each team need to win certain games.
This chart numbers will change weekly.
SSK and MTL are front runners. Winning within the division will widen the gap. With Nathen and Chad (TOR) returning make the competition more interesting.
Winnipeg need to climb the hill. So, the BC game is very important for them. A Winnipeg win give riders an upper hand in the division.
I see Edm is out of the picture even though they are are making big damage as unexpected.
Edmonton need to win all games and Winnipeg should loose at least a game.
Lions will prevail. The team, esp the offence, seem to lose a little faith in VA the last couple of games, despite the MOP raves from the pundits. With Rourke taking over, the whole team might be rejuvenated; even the sagging D. Phillips, so effective earlier in the season, seems to have lost his way. Tackling has been atrocious. Penalties costly. With Rourke’s quick release, the O line will not be under as much pressure as with VA’s slower release. Then again, Rourke may have lost a bit of mojo in his NFL quest and his passing for the Falcons didn’t impress. I doubt that. This is a matter of pride not just for Rourke but the entire team, underperforming and unmotivated. Should all change on Sunday.
Been around long enough to see all kinds of stuff happen and teams that look strong at mid season fall apart in the second half (Have you watched the Riders the last couple years?) to start predicting the second half of the season by what happens in the first…
