- Riders only other lose was a close game to BC (Lions didn’t open up the deficit until the 4th),
- Argos have lost 19+ points twice and last week lost to Ottawa who failed to score a touchdown,
- Riders had the bye last week, Argos dropped because of Ottawa loss and the Riders…nobody is bad enough to drop in the ranking when they haven’t played, and
- Riders have the potential to be better, the Argos have the potential to have the worst defense and special teams in the league.
with owens, durie and barnes down, and spencer watts not 100%. I wouldn't pick the argos to beat anybody this week.
Power rankings may be most misleading early in the season because of few games. However rankings may be most accurate near the end of regular season after many games. As a tool to predict the future, rankings aren't always reliable because teams can fluctuate over time.
With Anderson and Emery in the line up I would pick them to beat themselves even if Owens Durie and Barnes were health, but without those three…can you say blow out?
