From reading the article it appears hard to gauge the ratings on a relative basis. The competition for eyeballs for the Hamilton/Winnipeg game was astronomical. I expect we’ll see a more level playing field going forward now that hockey is over.

It'd be nicer if that number had been 650,000, but on the plus side it was higher than either team garnered for their first games of the season.
It was slightly lower than BC's average for 2021 and slightly higher than Toronto's average for 2021. All told, not bad for an early season game.
