We were robbed

Just to clarify...you can spear someone before the whistle.

Leading with the head anytime is a penalty.

Yes, you are correct Hendy, and it would have been spearing IF he lead with the head, the replay clearly showed leading with the shoulder and it was before the whistle.

Either way it should not have been a penalty and the Zebras once again showed their inability to be impartial.

Incompetent not impartial

This is a perfect Example of the cocky BC fan who plays a roll like he is being nice but does it in a way that keeps himself cockier than anybody else.

And the refs were disgusting and pathetic and the officials should be FORCED to explain their questionaBLE CALLS every WEEK.

If they have to explain the calls every week, they will develop more respect among the fans.

BUT THE WAY IT IS DONE IS SO DISGUSTING! How can anybody trust these REFS!!!

Give it up man, we lost and the BC fan is actually showing a little class

Ralph did play well, and the refs did hand this game to BC on a golden platter. However i am looking forward to next week. If the cats can do what they did to BC to Winnipeg they should have no problem pulling out a win.

The big thing that isn't happening is the receivers aren't coming back to Maas when he's in trouble.

Give it up?

Hamilton lost. That is not the point.
The point is the Referrees have to answer to somebody. There has to be some type of credibility.

The Refs hold in their @$$ pockets the key to momentum. They can't just be BLOWING (IMO) an entire second half in a 9-9 game.

Anybody can argue any call with me they want but I watched the game. I don't need it explained to me.

If you are only 8 yards deep there isn't much back to come to

I was there folks, and it was a couple of things.

I want to say agian I saw significant improvement in the Cats play overall.

They are still growing and that's a good thing. The recievers had several key drops that would have opened thing up. To add to this it seemed that the ref's had forgotten what pass interference is when the Cat's were in the endzone and the Cat's are still learning that getting penalized doesn't help you.

Don't be fooled, these guys left it on the field, there were running plays were the crowd thought Jesse was taken down and he'd bust it open for a huge gain. Even the fickle BC fans were impressed. It was awesome! Jason Mass played like the leader his is and it will only be one or two games before this team lights up the CFL. Recievers and qb's need to be on the same page.

Great work Cats keep it up!
Jare

Having said all that. I do like The Lions, believe it or not.
The Lions have been a good team for a long time.
But the TiCats got their mojo swiped.

The BC fan is showing class. That has zero to do with the refs

You're clearly frustrated, and I wish they had more deep play capability as well.

yeah yeah yeah, BUT

I am talking about the refs though, the REfs.

Mr Young
The time has come where you have to speak up for lack of
Professional Officials at Tigercat Games. This is two weeks in a row the better Team Hamilton ,lost because of incompetent and not impartial refs. Please Mr Young check with your Coach's and view the Game Tapes. The officials are making a great game bad. If you don't address this situation soon ,I will have to go else for my football entertainment.ie NFL?

and dissing the BC fan

Being a Stamps fan I have no bias regarding the Ticats winning in this game but was enjoying an underdog scenario playing out. All was going well until the Ticats got the lead. Yes your team could have been more disciplined, yes they could have done better on offence. Maas could have read the D better (a lot better), but your team really did get hosed on three calls. All of which were "game result affecting".

1: Short yardage 3rd down gamble and the Ticats clearly stop the surge but the spot is almost a full yard farther that the QB's actual momentum.
2: The so called spearing call should be enough to warrant a suspension of that ref. What was the Ticat supposed to do? Blow the damn whistle REF!!!
3: The interference call?!?!?!? This does not warant a suspension of the ref but rather the credibility or acusations of biased reffing which is much worse. Two refs both looking at the play and both screwing up.

Again, I'm not a sour Ticats fan ranting after a few bad calls, I'm a football fan that has seen decades of PATHETIC officiating in this league.

If your team beats the Stamps, I'll stand up and applaud as "they are due".

Good luck Ticats

I agree tatay, thats why I think we need to improve the replay rules to prevent this kind of thing. Even professional full-time refs are going to make bad calls, lets have a system in place so that it doesn't ruin good football games.

Its one of those "this time it was me that got burned, next time it could be you" deals that will hurt everyone. It doesn't reflect well on the league, maybe its something the owners should get on top of.

2 things need to happen IMO

  1. Make the officials fulltime employees of the CFL and use the downtime to work out the consistant problems that every team is facing with underpaid undertrained officials

  2. Make the officials publically accountable for glaring errors

  3. Fire Jake (iknow I said 2 but how can any ref bashing thread not include fire Jake)

Every week I watch the Ticats play and cheer for them, no matter the opponent. I even had a tough time getting really into the game last night just because I felt bad. It may sound cocky, but personally it’s tough when you see a team you love go 0-4 to begin the season. Lumsden dominated the game, though. Just remember who he had to get through: Brent Johnson (Defensive MVP), Aaron Hunt (Rookie MVP), Tyrone Williams, and Cam Wake. That being said, don’t let the efforts of your offensive line go unnoticed.

Call me a cocky BC fan, Thryllin, but I’d prefer to think of myself as a BC fan who cares about the Ticats, my second favourite team. Before we play you guys next, we’ll have to practise a lot harder.

Kori Dickerson and Talman Gardner are awesome.
