I think the team needs a bye-season. Like until 2009. It'll take that long to fix things.

Call the League and ask for rescheduling of game for one of bye weeks. Tell them field is unplayable or there's a structural problem with stadium. It might work. 
Get on the phone and trade our bye week for the Eskimos week ,which is this next one .
Do it properly.
