We Have Entered The Sports Dead Zone In Canada

I love the CFL starting in July because baseball with so many games doesn't provide the punch per game like the CFL does with just 18 games where every one is hugely important. I like watching baseball as I mentioned and the Jays but the CFL is a much more impact type of viewing event and a lot of people understand that. Now if the game is a 40-0 blowout at half-time, sure I'll switch over to a Jays game if it is closer probably.

Victoria Seals, Calgary Vipers, Edmonton Capitals in Golden League Baseball
Winnipeg Goldeyes in the Northern League
Victoria and London have new PDL soccer teams drawing over 1,000 per game (pretty good for that level of soccer)
Box Lacrosse leagues in Ontario and BC.

And how about instead of just watching sports we take advantage of this 2 week “sports dead zone” to actually play sports or even better, to teach a kid how to play them.

I was talking sports of a national scope, and sports being shown on national TV, that have national interest. Right now we have nothing. Which is why we're in a dead zone. CFL should find some way to fill this gap. Maybe some kind of all-star game or something to get things going.

As of tonight football season begins. Ahh i love football :cowboy:

Me too. I don’'t like hockey, and baseball is as boring as golf on TV.

I look forward to the day that the bluejays go to the US permanently.
