BC beat WPG, so we are locked into the #2 spot in the draft. ;D
HA, always nice to pick high but in years where we had top pick the player just rarely panned out for us.

The replacement for Fantuz is Shamaud Chambers, and his back-up is Mike Jones.
But it wouldn't hurt to have a third Canadian receiver in the pipeline to learn, and to step in, in case of injury to #1 and #2 .
Just please don't draft another Evan "I've played one game in three years due to injury" Gill.

Seems to match up to Mercer Timmis, Burlington boy who played in Calgary.
We also have Edmonton's second pick . So that gives us #2 , # 11, and perhaps # 16 or # 17 (based on Esks final position).
You can never have enough good Canadian depth players who can develop into starters ! The number one ranked kid , Knevel, the huge tackle from Nebraska, is from Brantford . It would be nice to see the local guy do well in Cat stripes !
Pat Lynch (the old guy)

Not sure, but, I don't think he is eligible until the 2019 draft. :o

It’s encouraging to see that 9 of the top 10 picks are from Ontario, so it’s less likely that we will lose them to a western or Quebec team. But then there’s the NFL…
“Just please don’t draft another Evan “I’ve played one game in three years due to injury” Gill.”
Football players like every other athlete and human can be “injury prone”
And just how do you guarantee that we won’t draft another??

Our drafting last season was extremely successful!
Of the 7 picks we made in the 2017 Draft, 6 are on the roster this season.
4 made the active roster and 2 are on the practice roster.

The only pick that was not on the roster was WR Jacob Scarfone, who returned to Guelph to play his last season.
He had a very good season in Guelph and is a terrific prospect
In 2017, Scarfone is averaging almost 150 all-purpose yards per game, split between 622 receiving yards and 405 punt return yards. He has six touchdowns in seven games – five receiving, and that electrifying kick return last Saturday against Laurier.
The Guelph Gryphons took on the Laurier Golden Hawks at Alumni Stadium in Guelph last week. After a disappointing 0-2 start to the 2017 season, the Gryphons elevated their play, battling to a middling 3-3 record. The Gryphons’ surge of three wins in...

With EDM knocked out(Thanks to Maas), we get their 2nd round pick for Chick, Which I believe will be the #16 pick in the draft.
So we now will now pick 2, 11, 16, 20, 28, 45,62
We have no 5th or 7th round picks(traded)
Hopefully it will be an even better haul than last years draft.

It will likely be an O.Lineman. The Cats need more Canadian depth on the line, in particular at end. I think you go with whoever is likely to stay and not pursue NFL aspirations, so you can get him in the system and working. Circao being from the area might make sense in that regard.
It's generally hard to poach good Canadian Offensive Linemen and there are plenty of receivers available this free agency.
