They tried a misdirection play when the Esks D has been pressuring with impunity thus far. They need to run the ball with simpler plays than that. They have ZERO energy!
Well finally KJ manages to tossa bomb down the field that DOESN'T get picked for a Williams TD - as he falls backwards into the end zone no less. 17-7.
Have to wonder how self-motivated some of the Rider players are when it was reported that Chamblin was dressing them down with a few expletives during practice this week? This from the "supposed" best CFL Coach!
If coaches have to get after their players about practising well at this time of the year, then they haven't done a very good job of setting the tone on the team during the season IMO!
Well into the second half by 3-4 minutes and the Greenies are moving the ball -sort of. Bartel certainly has had a busy afternoon and I don't imagine that he's enjoying the frigid temps (for him).
Yup the “Joseph as saviour” experiment didn’t work out too well but the EE failed to capitalize on all of those picks. Sunseri was moving the ball well - seems to do better coming off the bench.
Game is close enough that it could go either way but I’d love to see the Greenies knocked out of the playoffs.
Reilly so far isn't doing much more than handing the ball off to White and they just went 2 and out when he couldn't gain the necessary yardage on 2nd down. EE witha REALLY DUMB penalty too!
Well so much for the Riders and the "repeat"!! They won't even make it to Calgary where of course they would have won because it is "just like a home game" for them!!!
Ticats have a good chance to get back to the Grey Cup but the Greenies just ran out of opportunity and get to go home Just makes my poor heart bleed - NOT!!
No…it was Kerry Joseph’s retrospective tribute to Michael Bishop. Five interceptions later, he was replaced by Sunseri, who did spark the Riders despite not completing a high percentage of passes.
