Arg. Get well soon, Kerry.
Well, Bratton & company will just have to step up to the plate. I hope Watkins will be back for post-season play. While Jamel's injury didn't appear to be as serious, any word on him?
Looks like Watkins is out for the season:
http://alsinsideout.com/the-snap/watkinss-season-over/What? Me worried?......
That is a blow to the Als’ O schemes. Now it’s “showtime” for those stars of tomorrow who have been patiently biding their time on the sidelines.
In essence jkm; In a wellness recovery, then Watkins could play in the Grey Cup game if Montreal gets in? I do enjoy his efforts when he’s on the field.
As I understand it, a player on the nine-game injury list may be recalled to active duty, providing he has completely healed from his injury and declared fit to play by the medical staff, but his salary will be charged to the salary cap. If there are other injuries from here to the end of the season, the Als would be forced to make other moves, potemtially impacting the salary cap situation.
Sound complicated? Well it is! However, I hope the Als keep fairly healthy and that we may see him back in action this season.
I guess it's clear that although Watkins is missed, the Alouettes are pretty deep at the receiver position.
Green's been dropping a few more than I'd like.
Bratton's been getting open in the end zone and scoring prolifically
Andrew Hawkins is getting more deep touches than I expected
Glad to see AC and the coaching staff are as high on Hawkins as I am
Here's a few Hawkins Highlights from the last 3 weeks:

Pulling for you man.
Looks like the song in question was done by Hawkins' friend
Sorry about that Hawk
I only meant it was annoying cause you couldn't hear people talking
Senior: Was good of you to put the YouTube stuff on. I can now recall Hawkins in 2009 and, know why we all regarded him so highly. You might have realized that I am a great fan of K Watkins and, considered him our best receiver of the 2000 teams. WE will miss his speed. However, Hawkins [ the late comer ] appears now as having the speed and hands for the long pass. I also noted his end around ability matches that of Watkins. I have no worries now re our receivers.
Just a little prediction:
Before the end of the season the Hawk might just break one of those sweeps or some such for a highlight TD.
No question he’s got the skills to “kill” in the open field.
Hawkins wants nothing better than to make a name for himself in the league…a name that will rival that of his illustrious cousin…Geroy Simon. I am soooo glad the Alouettes had the vision to try and see what the young man can do. If he stays healthy, I’ve no doubt he’ll continue to follow his dream.
If the Alouettes ever get into a scrape…with injuries to DB’s in a critical game…they might want to think of putting Hawk in and giving him a few reps in practice…just in case. With his abilities on coverage teams, possibilities as a 2-way player, running the ball on sweeps and any variety of passing plays…Hawkins may well be the most versatile player the Alouettes have ever had. I know…Avon Cobourne played linebacker…but by his own admission didn’t like it. Watching Hawkins on 4th and long, and despite his diminutive stature…one can’t help being a bit taken aback by his skills.
Was looking for a few college clips found this:

Watkins pourrait être de retour pour les séries.
Listening to the Alouettes pre-game show
It was nice to hear Marc Trestman's little tribute to Andrew Hawkins:
I'm paraphrasing, but he's pleased about the Hawk's growth this season
was pretty effusive about his versatility, likes what he adds to the running game
and how Anthony feels pretty comfortable going to the little guy.
Another underdog making good for Les Oiseaux
Way to go Hawk!
Go Als Go!!!
Il semble que Watkins sera de retour avant la fin de la saison. C’est une très bonne nouvelle!
That is great news that Watkins will apparently be cleared to practice next week according to CJAD website.
