At the time of his passing I PM’d Caretaker and suggested the team wear a number 61 armband or something in his memory. IIRC his response was that he did not have the same impact on Hamilton after his playing days as Mosca did so did not deserve such an honour.

(This is going by my memory of a few years back and my ancient brain - which does not work as well as it used to.) 

If the criteria for a retired number is the impact that the player had on Hamilton after his career was over then I am hard pressed to come up with a worthy individual.

Garney Henley’s #26 should definitely be retired.

Also, I don’t think anyone else (at this time) is worthy of going up on the wall…although DMac will get there. We don’t NEED to add someone every season.

I would like to see Rufus Baby recognized as he was pro football yards from scrimmage leader many years ago. He could run the ball, catch out of backfield, play in the slot and return kicks…not remembered as a blocker but great player and nice guy
