Old R&R's right here eskie fans, I mean in your win over the bluebummers you looked as bad as Calgary when they beat winterpeg!!! Of couirse for Calgary that was a big victory. We've seen tonight what paying as bad as the Cowgirls means.

..........I'm sorry too.........glad your small man syndrome is getting pleasure out of it........

I really want to cheer for the Stamps but it's so hard for me to since they picked up that overrated bum Burris. He proved again how useless he is. I use to love the fact that he played for the Riders but I dreaded the day he signed with the Stamps. Way to go Stamps for blowing on that money on nothing.

For all you Burris lovers, I know you're gonna say "give it time" but the fact is that is what they said in Regina.

Where is Kevin Feterik when you need him?

Gades are now showing what I've been saying since the pre season...

This team is for real. Sure it will have it's ups and downs but they certainly are not a team that will be sharing the basement apartment with the likes of worst teams of the league.

…guess the game answered that question about how serious the boys took the build up to this one…

My assesment of the game:
Stamps,
A couple of defensive lapses against the run, other then that the front 7 looked ok. The new DB's have been heralded as man on man coverage specialists, but didnt look good in zone, so maybe the Stamps should play to their strenghs and play more man on man. Don't woory about Burris, he started out slow for the Riders when he went in after Greene went down, but he picked it up after he got comfortable with the first team guys. Its a long season, nothing is settled yet. Good kicking once again, and Ralph looks like the prototypical Canadian receiver, small, slow, smart, great hands, and fearless!

Ottawa
Joeseph is the real deal isnt he.
Ranek look great on those two runs but didnt get much else going all game long (but with runs like that, I guess you can say he did his part)
Receivers left alot of catches on the field, o-line played with heart. Defensivily look suspect against the run and who knows what would have happen in the secondary if Burris was a little sharper.

All in all, it was entertaining and not as onesided as the score indicates.

The reason why Burris finally got it going, is because the riders simplified the offence for him. This started to build his confidence. He threw a lot of hitch screens and little dump passes. Until he began to feel comfortable. I think this sort of philosophy is a good one for a guy like Burris who shoulders a lot of the blame on himself. But I also think he is a little to high on his abilities, and if he would relax and settle down he would be much better. But throughout his career he has not been able to do that(thus all the ints). If he makes dumb turnovers against Saskatchewan I think it will be a long day for the stamps.

........perceptive.....thanks chris, that's good analysis.........as well, his most successful drive in the Ottawa game was the end of the 2nd quarter TD where he was calling all his own plays.........Burratto's offensive is supposedly very complicated, maybe they just need to simplify is as you noted.........

No problem.
