Virtual Grey Cup Challenge, Week 7

Just want to let you know that the Week 7 Standings will be late. The late finish to the Edmonton/Calgary game on Sunday means I'm off to bed as soon as it's over. Not sure when I'll get a chance to get the standings done, as that's a busy week for me at work; but I'll try and get them up as soon as I can.

The standings are posted here.

Here are the games for Week 7:
B.C. @ Saskatchewan
Hamilton @ Winnipeg
Montreal @ Toronto
Edmonton @ Calgary

To join in, just start making picks. You can join in any time, but the later you join, the more difficult it will be to catch up.

To make your picks, reply to this post with your predicted winners. This is a straight-up win/loss pool; point spreads are not taken into account.

To be considered for any game, your pick for that game must be made PRIOR to the scheduled kickoff time. Even if your pick is made one minute late, or the kickoff is delayed, if it's after the scheduled kickoff time, it's late. No exceptions.

To change your picks, post another reply to the thread. Do NOT edit your original post. I may miss the change, or you may invalidate your picks.

While you're free to elaborate on your picks, your predicted winner must be clear at a glance. I don't want to have to read through a five-hundred word essay to figure out which team you're picking. More accurately, I won't.

Conditional picks are not allowed. That is, there is no "Winnipeg if Pierce plays, Edmonton if he doesn't." If you make a conditional pick, I will accept the first team named as your pick.

The complete rules are posted here.

Wow! 4-0 two weeks in a row. Can I keep it up?

B.C. @ Saskatchewan: The Lions have shown me no reason to pick otherwise. Saskatchewan is playing at home, where they're tough to beat. Riders by 11.

Hamilton @ Winnipeg: A close game last week that could have gone to overtime. I still feel Hamilton is not playing at its full potential, more so than Winnipeg, and is about to break out. Different surroundings, but these guys showed last year that they can win at Canad Inns Stadium. This might be a bit of a homer pick, but Cats by 2.

Montreal @ Toronto: The Argos managed a thrilling one-point win over the Eskimos last week, and as much as I hate to admit it, they appear to be a competitive team this season. But these aren't the Eskimos they're facing. Als by a hundred.

Edmonton @ Calgary: I've said it before: I like Edmonton, and want them to do well (as long as they're not playing Hamilton  ) But come on, guys, show me some reason to believe. Calgary is just too good for them, and at McMahon Stadium the Esks won't even have home field advantage to rely on. Stamps by a dozen.

thanks Dave

Picks for week 7;

Lions at Saskatchewan - ROUGHRIDERS
Hamilton at Winnipeg - HAMILTON
Montreal at Toronto - MONTREAL
Edmonton at Calgary - STAMPEDERS

Woo Hoo! Another perfect week moving me up from 14th to tied for 6th while 14 points up on the tie breaker over Nate for the final playoff spot. Now just to maintain position with a week with three easy picks and one toughy...

Saskatchewan - Yeah, like B.C. has a chance against the Riders in Regina...

Hamilton - This is the coin flip game. Hamilton has two straight wins against the Bombers, but it's in Winnipeg and Steven Jyles has proven he's a bonafide starter. Wouldn't be surprised if I get a big L on this one...

Montreal - Could be a close one, the Als haven't been as strong on the road and the Argos might surprise. If A.C. isn't QBing I might have to make a late switch...

Calgary - I'm not as sold on Calgary as everyone else is, but it's undeniable they have been deadly at McMahon. Oh and they're playing the Eskimos....

B.C. - I still refuse to believe we will only have 1 win going into the week off
Winnipeg - This'll be a nailbiter, game of the week. The only difference will be home field advantage
Montreal - Toronto's D will keep 'em in it but will tire and Montreal will take over in the end
Calgary - This is goina be ugly
