To make your picks, reply to this thread (please don't quote this post) with your picks for the winners.
Participants will be ranked based primarily on the number of correct picks. Point spreads are not considered. If you elaborate on your picks, please make your pick clear at a glance. If I have to read paragraphs of prose to figure out who you think will win, I won't bother.
The deadline to make a pick for any game is the scheduled kickoff time of that game. No exceptions. A pick for a 7:00 game will be considered late if it is posted at 7:01.
If you want to change one of your picks, please post a new reply. DO NOT EDIT YOUR ORIGINAL POST. If a post has been edited, only those games played after the latest edit will count.
Calgary @ Hamilton - Continue to get killed (Hamilton). Rather go with the safe pick (Calgary), than bet on the Cats.
Saskatchewan @ B.C. - DD will do what Burris did. Lovin' the Riders right now.
Montreal @ Winnipeg - We're back, at home, we're for real. 'Nuff said. GO BLUE!
Here are my picks:
Calgary over Hamilton: I have a gut feeling that this is going to be the Ticats' breakout game. If the Stamps hadn't embarrassed the Riders on Saturday, I would probably even pick the Cats. But I'm not confident enough of a Hamilton win to go against the grain.
B.C. over Saskatchewan: The Riders couldn't compete with the Lions in their own stadium, and just got humiliated at home again by the Stamps. How much worse will it be now that they're on the road.
Montreal over Winnipeg: I think the Bombers may win this game. Really. But I expect most people to pick the Als. And let's face it, if I'm going to dig myself into a hole this early in the season, it won't be because I picked the Bombers.
