Virtual Grey Cup Challenge, Week 3

Calgary @ Toronto - Calgary can’t win on the road. I’m going with the Argos.

Edmonton @ Winnipeg

B.C. @ Saskatchewan

Montreal @ Hamilton

TO (Calgary stank only four days before and I don't think they can defunk that quick, but we will see)
Winn (I really like Winn this year for some reason.... who am I kidding, I am half way around the world where no one cares about the CFL. I like all teams this year =)
Riders (we played awsome last week and we usually play good at home against the Lions... I think this will be the toughest test so far this year though)
Montreal (there is no denying that Hamilton is brutal.... I really feel bad for them)

so to get through all the crap...
Toronto, Winnipeg, SK and Montreal

Go Riders!!

If I were smart I'd go with winnipeg, but I have a hard time picking against my own team. I had the same problem last year, where I picked Edmonton almost every week and it obviously came back to bite me. Oh well.

Stamps - another loss and they could be in free fall.

Bombers - their secondary is injury riddled but they have enough offense to compensate.

Riders - riding the mo

Als - not as bad as they appear, nice time to get the TiCats on the menu.

Calgary @ TORONTO: Calgary has had little success in TO the last few years, they are playing on the road with only 4 days between games, and after their last dismal performance will probably become frustrated if things don’t go their way early. Toronto’s defense is capable of frustrating anyone’s offense and the defense the Argos will face on the other side of the ball appears suspect. I’ll take the Argos.

Edmonton @ WINNIPEG: Winnipeg’s beat-up secondary has to defend Ricky Ray in a game that Edmonton really needs to win. On the other hand, there is nothing wrong with Winnipeg’s defensive line and Ray, like most qb’s, is susceptible to pressure. I’m tempted to pick the Eskimos but I think this one will come down to home field advantage. I’ll take the Bombers

BC @ Saskatchewan: Wow! A lot of folks on this site are jumping on the Rider bandwagon. The Riders slipped by the Als in their season opener but the Als are currently 0 – 2. For an encore, they hammered the Stamps in Calgary and looked very impressive doing it. Last year they did the same thing to Calgary in the Western Semi and then were destroyed by the Lions in the final. The big difference between this year and last is that the Riders are no longer run by the Trailer Park Boys, but still, BC’s defense presents a whole different problem for Saskatchewan. For me at least, it’s too early to get on that bandwagon. I’ll take the Leos.

MONTREAL @ Hamilton: Hamilton will eventually improve, but not by the weekend. I’ll take the Als.

TORONTO - defence pulls this one out.
WINNIPEG - better than most realize + home field.
SASKATCHEWAN - just a hunch.
MONTREAL- not as bad as the cats, well not yet..

thnx
