Okay, the standings after Week 1 are posted here.
I won't bore you with the rules every week. If you want to see them, you can look here.
Now on to Week 2. Edmonton has the bye this week.

Ugh! We all had an awful start last week. If Paredes had missed that field goal, there'd have been a bunch of "0-4"s (and I'd be a lot happier!)
Anyway, on to week 2.
Hamilton @ Winnipeg: I'll be honest, Winnipeg (particularly Cotton) scares me. But not as much as Hamilton would if I were a fan of another team. Cats by 9.
Calgary @ Montreal: Montreal will be a lower-tier team this season, and Calgary is one of the top ones. This is a no-brainer. Stamps by a hundred.
B.C. @ Ottawa: Ottawa got their first win last week, and isn't due for another until around Labour Day. Lions by 6.
Toronto @ Saskatchewan: Saskatchewan, even without Durant, is much better than Edmonton was in week 1; although they have a history of screwing up my VGCC picks by playing badly when I expect otherwise. Toronto is just not that good. Riders by 8.

So week 1 of The Crapshoot is done, and of course I finish at 1-3 as I do most years. The good news is that pretty much everyone else also had a bad week and I'm currently sitting 31st. What will The Crapshoot week 2 hold? Probably more of the same (and it doesn't bode well that I'm picking all away teams). As usual no commentary for the first two weeks...

No perfect weeks, can't say I'm surprised! Let's hope for better this week.

At least I have a lot of company with my 1-3 pick. And had Parades missed that boot, I'd have been 0-4 but a lot happier too.
My picks for week 2 - going against common wisdom, picking a bunch of visiting teams:
Hamilton @ Winnipeg - The Bombers did look good last week, but I just don't believe they're for real yet. The Ticats looked good especially on defence, and considering who and where they were playing, they did alright. They're also getting a couple of players back from injury this week, albeit only on defence. Another close one, but this time the good guys win.
Calgary @ Montreal - The Stamps didn't look to be in top form yet, or was that because of who they were playing? But the Als lost their two starting quality QBs last week, so it's back to the chalkboard for them.
B.C. @ Ottawa - Going out on a limb here, but I think the RedBlacks could get the upset here. The Lions will be rested, but a bit rusty after their opening bye week. The Redblacks' offence will start to click this week in front of a wild home crowd.
Toronto @ Saskatchewan - Not your typical battle of the backups. Harris looked surprisingly composed for the Argos last week, but then he got the starting reps at training camp. And Glenn is probably the best starter to be a non-starter. Or is that the best non-starter to start? Whatever, the guy's a good QB, and the Riders are lucky they signed him. (And he's the luckiest guy around, apparently. Or he has a case of voodoo dolls, one for each starting QB in the league.) Just a gut feel here that the Argos will take this one.
