Another 3-1, and I'm still creeping up the board. #15, with 7 weeks to go. It is possible!
I think, for the most part, this week will be fairly simple. Then again, you never know.
Calgary @ Winnipeg: We know what both these teams bring to the table. One team is struggling, fighting for a playoff spot, without their #1 QB. The other has a healthy QB, a winning record, and pretty much a lock on a home playoff spot. Stamps by 15.
B.C. @ Edmonton: See above. Esks by 15.
Toronto @ Ottawa: Both teams are on 3-game streaks, but in the opposite direction. But while Toronto's 3 losses were against two of the league's best, Ottawa's 3 wins were against the league's worst. Don't get overly-excited about these RedBlacks. They're better than they were last year, but then, they'd pretty much have to be. Argos by 9.
Montreal @ Saskatchewan: Does Montreal's thumping of the Bombers mean they're back to being a contender? Hardly. But a visit to Mosaic can be exactly what any struggling team needs. Als by 12.

Another 3-1 week has pushed me up 5 spots to 30th. But with Zach Collaros being injured, my enthusiasm for the season has waned, so I'm just making picks without commentary...

Calgary @ Winnipeg - Stamps in a slaughter.
B.C. @ Edmonton - Edmonton grinds the Lions into a pulp.
Toronto @ Ottawa - I'm on board with the RBs. Hank is slingin' it and the defense is excellent. Ottawa at home by about 7.
Montreal @ Saskatchewan - Riders will give up 2 scores in the final 3 minutes to blow it. This is not sarcasm.

A 2-2 week sees me falling down a bit but holding steady and still in the running at #17th spot. Anyway Thank God my Cats have the bye this week they certainly need it with all that's happened since their game with the Eskies. So without further adieu here goes nothing......my picks for Week 14........
CALGARY @Winnipeg........Simply put this should be a no brainer and might become the first 100% VGCC pick of the year. I mean can you see anybody possibly choosing the Bombers in this one ? Didn't think so........Stamps win in a walk by 21
BC @ EDMONTON...........It was a plucky effort in a loss to Calgary by those Lions last game and Christmas came early for the Esks last week courtesy of the Ti-Cats 2 backup QB's. Time is running out on these Lions to start making a push for the playoffs this season and it won't start with this game...............Eskimos in a low scoring affair win this one by 7
Toronto @ OTTAWA.......Break up those REDBLACKS !!!! The Cinderella season continues in Ottawa as the amazing RB's and the ageless wonder Smilin' Hank continue to do the unthinkable. The streak reaches 4 here....RB's by 3
Montreal @ SASKATCHEWAN.....Upset special !!! The Sadsack Riders won't lose them all (but 1) this season and Glenn and the boys will come through in fine fashion in this one and send the Dirty Birds packing........Riders win this by 7
So there ya have it folks !!! Bobo's picks of the week taking CALG/EDM/OTT/SASK
Thanks again B-Dave and good luck to all on yer picks for this week
I totally missed last week and dropped 3 more places ... Oh well! This weeks picks;
Calgary vs Winnipeg; Calgary - Gotta go with the number one team in the league. Say what you want about the Stamps, but they have been quietly finding ways to win since Huff came into the organization. Calgary by 10.
B.C. vs Edmonton; Edmonton - BC lost QB #2 and so they are on to #3 and even though Reilly is looking like #2 right now, he's still better than their #2 or #3. Edmonton by 10.
Toronto vs Ottawa; Ottawa - Who would have thought that this would be the "Tough Call" game of the week? I'm going with Ottawa, simply because they seem to be clicking on offence and their defense has been playing "lights out" for the last little while. Ottawa by 7
Montreal vs Saskatchewan; Montreal - Saskatchewan's Offense (with Glenn) is better than Montreal's, BUT Montreal's Defense is hands down the better unit of the two teams. I'm going with the better defense. Montreal by 3
Thank you to Big Dave for running this for us. Good luck to all my fellow competitors.

Sigh. Back out of the top ten again with a poor 2 and 2 showing.
My picks for week 14:
Calgary @ Winnipeg - The Stamps and Bombers are at opposite ends of the standings for a reason. I don't see any surprises here.
B.C. @ Edmonton - The Eskimos have one of the best defences in the league. If only they could get their offence in gear. But they shouldn't have too much problem dealing with the Lions.
Toronto @ Ottawa - The Redblacks have been playing better every week, as Burris finally seems to be comfortable with his receivers, and they may soon be competing with the Stamps and Eskimos for to spot overall. I'm not sure what to make of the Argos, though. Some weeks they look like they good; others, not so much. The Redblacks should be able to take this one, even if the good Argos show up. (What am I saying? There's no such thing as a good Argo. )
Montreal @ Saskatchewan - The Als have been depending on their defence all year, but their lack of offence has prevented them from competing with the big boys. On the other side of the ball, I have no idea why the Riders haven't won more games; they've been in almost all of them right to the final whistle. If I didn't know better, I'd say someone on the team bet against themselves, and they're throwing games. Actually, it just seems to be bad luck on their part. Or are they "just not ready"? I don't see them being ready this week either.
