It's Labour Day Weekend!! No more excuses, the half-way point of the season, we're coming into the home stretch. And it just feels like that football time of year. The Week 10 standings will also be posted late, because of the two games on Monday.
For those new to the forum, here's a rundown of the rules:
To join in, just start making picks.
Reply to this thread with your picks for the games. You're encouraged to elaborate, but only the predicted winners are taken into account, and your picks must be clear at a glance without having to read a big long post. There are no conditional picks allowed.
Picks must be in by the scheduled kickoff time, or they will not be counted.
To change your picks, post a new message to the thread. Do not edit your original post.
The complete rules are posted here.
Here are the games for Week 10:
B.C. @ Montreal
Winnipeg @ Saskatchewan
Toronto @ Hamilton
Edmonton @ Calgary
B.C. @ Montreal: Montreal is not the dominant team they once were, even at home. And even when they were, B.C. always had their number. B.C. is the hottest team in the league right now. Lions by 5.
Winnipeg @ Saskatchewan: Winnipeg will want to show up for their new coach. The Riders are ice cold. Bombers by 8.
Toronto @ Hamilton: Hamilton's losing streak has to end some time, and what better time than against the Argos on Labour Day, when they rarely lose. Watch for Chris Williams to set the new standard in kick return touchdowns, maybe even taking a couple back. Ricky Ray may keep it close. Cats by 9.
Edmonton @ Calgary: Hard to pick this one, since both teams have been hot and cold all season. Give the edge to Glenn and Cornish, with home field picking up the difference. Stamps by 3.
All tough games to pick... for the hardest was the Esk/Stamp game... Esks usually put in a good performance in Cgy on LD... next was Riders/Bombers... Sask usually plays well at home... but they might be ripe for the picking this time around... Tor/Ham... who knows? Depends on wether or not Burris is hot/cold... Als/Lions... I think this could be the game of the week right off the hop... I took that Als to win at home...
