The regular season begins in two weeks, and it’s about time to start making picks for the Virtual Grey Cup Challenge 2005. (Yeah, it's still a little early, but since it's the first week, I want to give people some extra time to join in.) To participate, just pick the winners.
Here are the matchups for Week 1:
Hamilton at Montreal
Ottawa at Edmonton
B.C. at Toronto
Winnipeg at Saskatchewan
To join in, just reply to this post with your selections. Elaboration or point spreads is encouraged, but will not affect the standings. You can join at any time, but the later you join, the harder it will be to catch up. Picks must be posted prior to the scheduled kickoff time; late picks will not be accepted. Standings at the end of Week 1 will be posted as a reply to this thread after the final game of the week.
Montreal over Hamilton
Ottawa over Edmonton
BC over Toronto
Sask over Winnipeg
... do we get extra points if say u say the worst team is gonna beat the best team?.. like a spread, the odds are say 4-1 that Edmonton will beat Ottawa but then Ottawa wins... do you get extra points for that?
No spreads, no odds, just picking the winners.
If you pick the worst team to beat the best team, and they do, then you get credit for being right, while everyone who picked the best team is wrong. Get a string of these right and you can really move up the list.
Montreal: Al's will adjust to their FA losses.
Edmonton: my heart says Gades but my head says Ricky Ray! Could be closer than people think.
BC: Revenge!
Saskatchewan: Riders should carry on from where they left off last season.
GO GADES GO!
PS: got my CFL mag yesterday (got two actually!). Cool!!!!
ya... i think there are only two of us going for Ottawa so far... correct me if im wrong but didn't Ottawa start its season last year 3-0 in the west?... im thinking that they are gonna have a strong start just like last year... then probably go downhill from there
