Vince Young?

Vince Young to Regina?

Yes.

Will he fit into the CFL like Vince Ferragumby?

Maybe they can get T.O. out of retirement for him to throw to...

Vince hasn't played a meaningful game in many years. This should be good for a laugh!

I hope he realizes the level of talent coming after him, that the size of the field will take a long time to get accustomed to and that the 12th guy can come from out of nowhere.

I can't name one former NFL "star" QB that came up here and had a meaningful season.

Way to go greenies!

He is in Regina! This isn't Texas Vinny! You are not dressed accordingly!

Give the guy a chance. It's been a while since he played, but he has skills. I'm interested to see how he does.

I don't get Chris Jones' decision here. Trade a 34 year old proven, yet injured for parts of the past two seasons, QB because they want to get younger. Then sign a 33 year QB that's been out of football for five years. But wait, he's a whole year younger. So they obviously got that younger QB they were looking for.

No question, he’s there.
That’s definitely the expression that takes over your face, first time you see Regina. :frowning:

But his "skills" weren't good enough for the NFL....he's hasn't participated for a considerable amount of time...never played a down in this league.. and he's gotten older (35)....this doesn't add up to a good decision.

If they want to bring in another arm for drills and practice....OK...if there was any thought to Young becoming the starter....then these people play too much Madden football...

Yup , on an old out of date game system from 9 years ago !!!  But to be fair though to Young it's "only" been a mere 6 years since he last played and participated in a real actual game dating back to as recently as 2011.

Can you not play old games on a newer system??

Considering Young's lack of playing time over the last several years and his non-participation in this league, his adopted uniform colour of green is actually quite appropriate....

This reminds when the Cats brought in Shawn King in for a look at McMaster several years ago. Not a happy ending for King or the Cats.

8) Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking !! He sure looks thrilled and excited, doesn't he
8) Exactly !! What did Shawn King last, about 3 practices ???

He was in the 2007 camp, and was cut after the first preseason game. The only highlight of his play in that preseason game wasn't his arm at all, but a rushing TD.

I just checked the TSN site and one writer described the riders signing of Young as....

"Roughriders tossing a hail mary with Young"

It's not going to end pretty...but good luck anyway. :?

Are you seriously judging a first impression by a still photo? Someone from Hamilton blasting Regina. Lol

Zero risk high reward.

Je ne vois pas comment un gars qui n'a jamais eu un % de passes complétées de 60% va réussir dans cette ligue.

Troy Smith 2.0, et le résultat sera sans doute le même, voire pire.
