Glad to see him land somewhere. I have a lot of respect for the guy.

hopefully it was for dirt cheap 3-stringer money

that was a brutal injury he suffered at the hands of a dirty player. that he was able to come back from that and then an achilles injury to boot is unreal. but he isn’t the same and is mostly a veteran qb room guy now.

this is a good pick up for the Lions.

I think Rourke and Brice can carry the load this season but Masoli certainly can help with the development of both nearly rookie QBs. Seriously doubt Masoli will see any action though.

He started and won a game this past season. People are acting like he’s completely incapable or something. I predict he will see the field in 2025.

Heck Nick Arbuckle just got Grey Cup MVP! Anything can happen. Even if Masoli doesn’t play a single down for the Lions his experience as a veteran will do wonders for Rourke. He played his best season after learning from Michael Rielly, maybe Masoli can help Rourke replicate his 2022 success.

Also just overall a great locker room presence, something sorely needed for the Lions.

Masoli is the kind of player who out of nowhere can do incredible things. I saw it more times than I could count in his 8 years in Hamilton.

I have no idea how the Bombers let this slip away? Zach is … getting long in the tooth and Streveler was never and will never be an every down pivot. Masoli is injury prone and not exactly young, but he probably did not cost much and the Bombers need a serviceable back up. I am baffled by Winnipeg’s lack of urgency as a whole. The West–my opinion–will be competitive and exciting and I do not see the Bombers in the mix.
