With all due respect the Fantuz and Dressler and the rest of the Rider receivers, Jason Claremont is still a game maker!!
His catches last Friday kept the Riders in the game and were highlight reel ones. Get this guy into the passing attack more often coaches. He is a stud and still has sure hands. Go Riders Go!!! :rockin:

I like Claremont for a number of reasons. First, he's not afraid to take a huge hit, and can come down with the ball in spite of it. Second, he's one of the few receivers in the league who doesn't give up on a pass just because he's interfered with. And third, he's Canadian, which enables his team to play an extra import at another position when he's in.
Saskatchewan has so many excellent Canadian receivers that Claremont kind of takes a back seat. That's too bad, because he could play a much bigger role on most other teams, and really be an impact player, like he used to be in B.C.
as such big fans of this fella I would expect you to know roughly how to spell his name.

The thread title was started by turkeybend, so thus if one (me included) doesn’t pay attention to the words or (names) in it, it then becomes easy to miss spell without even knowing it. Me thinks anyway.
I wish Wally didn't give up on him so early. Looking back at this season, we could definitely use a guy that can catch and get the YAC yards. Manny Arcenaux is only thinking about the NFL and forgot that he actually has to play well in the CFL first. I'd take Clermont back in a hearbeat. There's a reason why I still wear my Clermont jersey to Leos games.
I think BC really misses the leadership and grittiness of Clermont. For whatever reason Buono thought that defenses had too easy of a time covering Simon and Paris Jackson when Clermont was in the line-up with some diminishing speed. So they cut him and moved Jackson to the slot. But from my couch they never replaced what he brought to that team. But boy he took some unbelievable hits. He had a pretty top level salary too. Buono never even tried to trade him. His statement was that out of respect he just cut him to allow him to go to his team of choice. It was all sorta odd.
Love the guy.
Jason is a team first , me second guy who can block with the best, catch in a crowd and bust his butt everywhere.
Wally is not a stupid man. Jason either wanted too much or wanted to go home. Proved he went to the right team though the last two years!!! :rockin: :cowboy: :cowboy:
Coach Miller use him instead of an import receiver and get an import defensive end who can pass rush.
