The new “No Lead is Safe” ad campaign, among other things, has got me wondering, what is the biggest comeback in the history of the CFL? I.e. what’s the largest point deficit a team has actually overcome to win the game? What is the largest 4th quarter deficit a team has overcome?
Argos came back from 25 points down in the fourth quarter to beat Hamilton 39-36 in 1994. Not sure if that was the greatest comeback ever but it was definitely one of the largest. Video evidence here:
I recall a Montreal team up on Calgary 32 3 at half and ended up losing the game. Mid 80,s !
arghhhhhhhh...the ending was cut! :x
The whole no lead is safe campain is a knee jerk reaction to dwindleing TV ratings.
It's in three parts. Here is the rest of it:
thanks PW
Why wasn't Marvin Graves a star in this league? What happened?
And the T.O. fans back then showed such exuberance and were so vociferous. What happened?
Graves had injury problems and wasn't as smart as you might think. He couldn't pan out when he was in Saskatchewan.
That auspicious miracle debut must have been a complete fluke then.
