Season seat renewals only at 40%, including St.Louis
Players might strike, as QBs boycotted an event this week protesting salaries and health insurance.
I can think of a couple of former TiCats in the UFL, both named C/Kameron, who’d, likely, be welcomed back, here, if they don’t have a league, to play in, this season:
CB Cam Dantzler, highly recommended by Jamal Peters when he joined the TiCats’ practice roster late last September, and our '21 - '22 SLB Kam Kelly, a CFL All-Star in his second season here.
Don’t forget Kai Locksley… lol
(I know it doesn’t rhyme with C/Kam, but he’s a formet Ticat after all)
Yup, lots of excitement.
If they’re lucky they’ll finish one more season
So glad we didn’t follow the XFL into that merger
Apparently they had “Media” day at camp on Friday and players were threatening to boycott it, and the owners said that any player that missed the media day would be immediately released.
What’s the moneyline that this will be their last season?
3 to 1 maybe lol
And when you look at other leagues
They’re not even close there’s like four different Arena leagues
I’ve watched two games from two different leagues and they’re both crappy
The CFL is definitely Head and Shoulders above all these little minor leagues
That’s a great find for the sake of current news, and I’m hardly surprised and it’s no accident that it’s via NFL media partner NBC.
Such is a common and old tactic for “strike-busting” that is used by an employer to basically use one person (or a few persons) to “set the proper example” so as to intimidate the other employees, which at this time I suspect the owners of the UFL can get away with easily by also exploiting the current shift in politics that is not pro-union.
Here’s my guess and opinion on what stands to happen with the UFL this season and after this season:
For me and other fans, the clock has already started to tick to zero for the UFL 4.0, so it’s only a matter of less than 12 months.
Enjoy the ride if you are a fan, but get off the train after this season in case yet another spring league crashes and burns.
FWIW for the CFL, this is a great time to poach undrafted players from the NCAA in the US, such as done by BC recently and as the future of the UFL is quite shaky regardless of the 2025 season.
