Tyrell Sutton

Thanks

I doubt he will be back this season, but,
On the radio this morning Melo said STE was running sprints down the sidelines at top speed at practice yesterday.
It was in straight lines so no cutting, but still it looks like he may be well on his way to a full recovery.

STE still leads all of our RB's in yards from scrimmage at 417yrds and has only played 4 games! 8)

I agree. He was sitting at home for months thinking his career was over. Sutton is probably very grateful that the Cats gave him another shot so he is making the most of it by running like a man possessed. It could be his last real chance at a Grey Cup.

Thanks, but I knew that; I used a bad example. Speedy also had a TD on a missed Field Goal, but it doesn’t appear in the CFL stats. So why can’t We see a list by any TDs or by total points , like in the old days?

Banks has 2 missed FG TDs - vs Toronto and Calgary.
Interesting it doesn’t actually report anywhere.

Thanks! So he has 12 TDs overall - tied for most in the league (so far)?
Also, why can’t we see a summary of 2 point conversions by player - receiving or rushing?

Full stats are difficult to find. On www.cfl.ca, go to Stats item on the main menu, click League Leaders in the drop-down, and then look for the PDF icon at the top-right (link below). Touchdown leaders are on page 3 of the PDF, though currently one week out of date. Same table also shows 2-pt converts.

Banks has 13 TDs including the one rushing TD, and three 2-pt converts. Addison leads the league with four 2-pt converts.

A big THANK YOU for that! They don’t make it easy to find stuff on their website.
They show Speedy with 12 TDs and only 9 receiving, but they're missing last weeks results.

Wow, that's quite a coincidence that their stats are so identical.
Seems that they are both quite capable. Would like to see how their stats compare per game. It seems that Sutton has been gone to more regularly than Marshall, if I recall correctly.

This is what I was looking for!
Total TD/C2 points by Player (excl kickers; missing last week’s stats):

Cam Marshall's 3 games, in order:

7 carries for 40 yds, Avg. 5.7, Long 8
12 carries for 92 yds, Avg. 7.7, Long 20
13 carries for 66 yds., Avg. 5.1. Long 25

Tyrell Sutton's 3 games, in order:

8 carries for 25 yds., Avg. 3.1 yds, Long 11
11 carries for 88 yds., Avg. 8 yds, Long 19
13 carries for 85 yds., Avg. 6.5, Long 13

The biggest difference in their stats shows up in receptions:

Marshall caught a single pass in each of his first two games, gaining 7 and 6 yds.
In his 3 games, Sutton caught 3 for 32 yds., 3 for 23 yds., and 4 for 64 yds.

Thanks ottawacat!

The story behind Tyrell agreeing to join the TiCats in early September:

Great read ottawacat,
Thanks for posting.

While unemployed this summer, and having gone through three teams in the span of a year, Tyrell Sutton decided to see a psychic. She told him to take the next opportunity that came his way, and not to question it.
“She said it was going to lead me somewhere where you never thought you’d dream of going,? Sutton revealed Friday. “That was a revolutionary, mind-blowing, eye-opening experience.?

All he had to do was read the Ti-Cats forum. We have a ton of psychics around here that would have told him the same thing. ;D

Interesting.

And we thought the Spec was bad.

Montreal can only hope they get another crack at Hamilton in the East Division final on Nov. 17 at Ivor Wynne Stadium.

Zurkowsky has been reporting CFL for decades so he either didn’t write the sub head or he had a senior moment.

That's okay, the Cat's "Fan Update" from yesterday told me that the Cat's were heading out to Winnipeg to take on the Alouettes at 1:00. But they would send me any swag I purchased with free shipping.

Didn't say if they would ship from Winnipeg, Montreal or Hamilton however?
